Im sadly well aware. Is it just san Francisco that has snapcrap? Maybe LA should start doing that to hahah

Our homeless also tend to freeze to death. Since you know, Norway is cold

It's a few crapholes popping up out west... LA is one... San Fran is another... Portland and Seattle are more crapholes.  I hate hearing about it because I used to have this vision of those northwest cities as nice, clean, laid back, with great weather.  Now it's all riots and homeless drug addicts laying needles you might step on...

A gripping thread! Do please go on for days.

You have no idea how liberals here are hopelessly infatuated with the idea of European socialism, constantly pointing out how sad it is that we can't BE LIKE EUROPE.

I think a very important point might be that the countries in Europe are actually distinct, whereas America's states tend to fall in under a more homogenizing template. As the culture goes, so go the states.

When you have a smaller, more autonomous country, you can control things inside it more effectively than in an enormous country like the US.

It's interesting that some European countries have realized the Muslim threat and stave it off, whilst others don't.

The comparisons are confusing. In the US we pay Federal Income Tax, State income taxes Payroll taxes, property taxes.... so the argument changes by what state you live in. what income bracket you are in and what country you compare to.
Let's say you are in Norway and you are a lowest income earner- You have a low tax, there is no state to tax but you pay on your income that US employees do not. Then everything you buy has a 25% Sales tax or VAT. You are better off in the USA for taxes. Then you have to look at the value of the services. That depends on your personal position.
I have a problem with someone saying that I have a problem so you should involuntarily pay for it because I exist and demand it. There is nothing I want to do more than to support those that need help voluntarily but these globalists want tax breaks for supporting art museums and colleges so they can boost their image or for people not in their own homeland. You should never get a US tax break for helping people in another country. Do it, but no tax break.

Another WONDERFUL thing about our country, that is a bit more trivial but I think most Americans would hate, the grocery stores.  They are untidy, several cuts of meat cant even be found (short ribs), its expensive (a walmart quality steak is like 20 bucks) and service is usually awful. It is everywhere. My husband called his doctors office for directions"google it" was their answer. RUDE

A less trivial thing: abortions are not only seen as moral and totally not a big deal at all here (apart from by our christian party which is small), its entirely taxpayer funded. But at least they let us nurses not participate in the procedure if we work in the hospital (the exepction being the gyno ward, but just dont work there I guess)

Seriously I could go on for days, maybe I should start a blog haha

Wow!!

If you can take pictures sometime, please do............

Not just San Francisco anymore, the convenience of the world is your potty has spread to many other cities and states. I don't know if it is just a big coincidence, but all of these crap havens are run by liberals. But they have access to drugs, and needles are just lying around for free usage, guess nobody has told them drugs are making this worse. In Austin, the mayor is looking into buying hotels for the homeless, can't wait to see how they decorate that place after a few years. I'll go out on a limb here and predict the homeless problem in Austin will explode in numbers as soon as they buy the hotels. Now if you want to build a shed in your backyard for garden tools, there is all kinds of permits and red tape. Putting in a septic has to be engineered, inspected, and permitted, and costly just so you can do what the homeless do everywhere.

Just saw this thread and thought I would post a link to this YouTuber I watch from Norway named Bjorn Bull-Hansen. His channel isnt about politics persay, but he does rip into woke culture from time to time. He is more about outdoor living and Bush craft, specifically the way the vikings used to do it. He is also into men's mental health and is very soft spoken.

Here is a video about Antifa in Norway

Here is a short video he did about climate change activists and Greta Thrunberg.

And here is one on how America is destroying its women.

Buy a shipping container and convert it, they come with a truly nice bamboo floor.
I built my own home for $6000. grand, though that was before the left killed logging, still, do it yourself and be done, and if you use two shipping containers you'll have a 320 sq' home, 38m2?

Im honsetly not sure if Norway would Even allow you to live in a shipping container xD I have kids anyway, so maybe not an ideal option for us lol.  You would need somewhere to put it as well .  We Are seriously just considering moving away from this place. Foreigners dont get good jobs here (not Even the educated ones) and you Are taxed into Oblivion.

Oh yeah, it's a huge thing in Europe because of housing costs. It cuts over a third off the price of construction.
Here's one in Norway.

How is the air in one of those things? We need good air quality in our house cause of health reasons. But yeah, rather than staying here we might go to America . My husband has better Job opportunuties so do I (better pay), cost of living is cheaper. There is health insurance and out of pocket expenses (those exist here too just not AS high). The only thing is my oldest son has lived here for 5 years and we have family here I dont want to leave. But like, if we stay here we Arent gonna be very well off

Air quality like any new home, They have them in Texas too. Speaking of Texas , that would probably be your best shot for employment. If you can't get a job there, hygiene may be an issue. j/k...
There's work all over the US, business can't find enough people to work.
Oh, and if that doesn't suit you, start your own that day, it's how I always did it.

Nursing. She could advertise as a private nurse and be working the moment she landed.
True, there is work everywhere, but I only suggested Texas because it isn't Ca.

Hell, I can't get anyone to start work at my house in a reasonable time. Everyone is 4 or 5 months out...except the contractors that want $12,000 for 100 sq foot for just a stand alone shower. They can be hired in a week.......

I have to start my ensuite or my wife is boycotting our Saturday night get togethers.

There is work all over the damn place all you need is an alarm clock and a tank of gas.
