"The south is conservative, but there's also a nice untapped bed of LIV poor folks and snarky college kids, who will fall for a newer better giver of freebies."

That's the key that I have been alluding to here and elsewhere. It's why I say we are outnumbered when push comes to shove.
But I think even those groups of people can be turned off by the lying, cheating, stealing of the country if we actually play the game to win.

African Americans, and Hispanics, always have been the strongest conservative religious folks going.  How did we lose all of that, while the liberals were just pandering with lies and bribes  ?

It happened because we watched them do it and were too busy playing golf and having picnics at the country club.  Keeping our starched whites clean while the filthy enemy was crawling past us for the win.

Handouts trumps values.  African Americans are against gay marriage etc.   So are Hispanics but take away both groups entitlements and you're asking for trouble.

I've never been totally convinced of that.

I've got a wonderful Mexican-American in-laws family that loved Reagan, hated Pete Wilson, and don't care much for illegals.  Catholic and totally conservative fiscally.

Same with the African-American community.  Maybe Baptist or AME instead of Catholic, but that's about it.

That's the bulwark of the minority community.

But we just don't get the truth out about how they're being used and abused by the liberals, and their country's being destroyed by the libs.

Having a black family I have to agree with you, I'm white but I often go to a black dominated church (its not black exclusive, but the neighbourhood is pretty much a "black neighbourhood") and the people there are conservative in all values and are hard working with most running their own businesses, they would vote conservative in a heartbeat, but the problem is that they don't identify with conservative party due to lack of racial representation in not only the candidates but the political message and the liberal created "racist right" myth.

Social Identification is extremely important, boys need men as role models no matter how "manly" a lesbian woman can act the boy will not identify with her. Same with politics, doesn't matter how politically aligned minorities are with the Republican Party if they do not identify with it and through the media are told every day of every hour that the Republicans hate you. And the most important lesson from 2012 election imo was that "cares about people like me" was the most important factor that trumped everything else, especially since Romney won on almost every other issue.

Not saying GOP needs to have affirmative action in with putting forward black candidates only based on ethnicity, but what they need to do is hammer liberals and expose their "positive racism" and drag their condescending racist attitudes into the light and fight for the votes of minorities by exposing the liberals and not dance around the issue doing photoshoots with minorities as a politial stunt like Cuccinelli did by having ads of women saying that he is a nice guy. Pathetic.

Oh stop. For all intents and purposes their are two black communities. Although according to the media - and far too many conservatives - only the welfare mamas, crook daddies and government poagies exist. Blacks that don't fit those categories, seem to have "disappeared".

WTH is a poagie ?  Sounds like a sandwich.

Sometimes I think the conservative portions of the minority communities are just like the peaceful muslims.

Yeah, I'm sure they're out there, and are the majority of their communities, but........

.......it's just not worth the trouble to be seen and heard going against the lunatic bloc.

Just like the good people don't go against Al Capone, or the Bloods & Crips, or MS 13, or whatever.

And it almost seems like the liberals have co-opted this phenomenon.  It's not worth going against liberalism in these communities, just not worth the trouble they'll make for you.

That may be our biggest hurdle and challenge.

I had the opportunity to work with quite a few Black folks during my career and became friends with them. They were quite successful and I asked how they were accepted in their community. To the person they told me a certain segment of community treated their success negatively. This confirms Giles' assessment that there is a divide within these communities.

Oh for God's sake.

I sense some "alternate bureaucrat gotcha" relating to topical arguments, here.

So whatever.  What's the penalty for syntax crimes ?  Life.....3 days....5 minutes plus a game misconduct  ?

I think this phenomenon is pretty well established.

Is this most of the conservative's problem with the minority communities  ?

I have no idea what your, "alternate bureaucrat gotcha" means.
The point is, I have to read these posts, and you, the biggest offender of lazy, makes it so I have to search up to see who you responded to, this takes time, time I don't like to waste.
So either comply, or find another forum.

Yes it does.

Not knowing the "Andy law" doesn't excuse breaking it.

I was saying that you were using minutiae to get back at me with your administrative authority, because of our arguments over issues.

Just an opinion.
