I thought about it and I would be fine with Santorum as the nominee. Neither Romney nor Santorum excites me but they are both much, much better than Newt or Obama.

Actually the idea of a brokered convention is beginning to appeal more and more to me.
After the birth control issue, I'm beginning to think literally anyone is better than Obama.

What spooks me with a brokered convention is the possiblity of Jeb Bush. The establishment loves Jeb Bush.

I agree. A slow gerbil on meth is better than Obama.

Many say this is a bad idea. I don't see how. They think it is waiting too long, and doesn't allow enough time to focus the campaign on Obama. I think it is the opposite. All the candidates and their supporters are continuously making Obama a topic of discussion, and the drawn out primary process is making it harder for Obama and his campaign to get any attention, much less focus on any one candidate.

I agree with that. The closer to the election our candidate is chosen, the less time they have to dig, and twist.
I will likely vote (in absentia) for Santorum in Virginia next month...even tho he is not on the ballot. I hope he is "the one"...a bit on the wimpy side but, hey,
I like him.
