Rand Paul In The '90s: Medicare Is Socialism And Social Security Is A Ponzi Scheme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jTRJiqX_2M0#)
You keep talking like that and Shooterman's gonna show you the secret handshake.
Seriously, I agree. Medicare and social security are dead, at least in their current form. People just don't realize they are dead yet.

Just remember the Shooter rule: No candidate is worthy of election -- except for his.
I like shooterman. I just think he gets a little bit negative a times. When he gets in the right mood, then God couldn't fix what's wrong with America. That's just hard to listen to at times.
I've managed people since I was 24 years old. I always told people that I didn't mind people comingto me with problems so long as they also came to me with solutions. People who just come to you ity problems can be frustrating.

I will say though, Shooter, this election must be a first! You are supporting 2 whole candidates! Ron and Rand. Is this a record?
I like Rand Paul too. Paul, Miller and Rubio are going to be part of a very conservative bloc with the Republican caucuss in the senate.

Miller is sharp as hell. I watched a bunch of youtube on him the other day, and he is impressive.

They will find out when they need a bypass or an expensive medication. Palin was right, he's created death panels of a sort, through lack of approvals on needed care. And the older you get, the less you're going to get. You can't take over 500 billion from a medical program without killing a few old people. >:( And I'm rapidly approaching being one of the old people. :(

Hell, brother, I am an old people. Momma Shooter asked me today if I wanted a 75th birthday party. I looked around to see who she was talking to, and damme, it was me

My good man. At my age and with the Big Sleep in the not too distant future, I'm certainly not going to waste any more time than required in the mundane things of life.

Been there, done that. Doesn't hurt................ too much.
I've got Medicare and right now I'm searching for a Medicare Advantage Plan that is suitable. mr crepe will be 65 in January and might work until he's 66 and might not. I'm still on his health care as a primary health plan, but if he retires I want to have our info ready to jump into a Medicare Advantage Plan as a supplement to Medicare.

You're exactly right. When my dad was diagnoses with stage 4 cancer this past April, his treating oncologist said that come 01-01-11 that Obamacare would prevent the doc from ordering aggressive treatment for stage 4 cancer patients even if their insurance coverage had allowed for it. So when I hear libs talk about how death panels are just republican hyperbole, I have to restrain the very real urge to put someone through a wal.

I agree. Miller is a rising star in the party.
Ok this is where I get into it with a few of you :) but hey, im not bashful..
If rand paul or anyone else gets in congress and right promptly attacks SS and medicare they will assure a quick turnover of congress just like the dems did to themselves.
Medicare is nothing in costs compared to obamacare with 40 million more people in it and millions of them totally FREE..and anyone that runs over the border we pay for too.
Rand Paul and the rest of them better talk OBAMACARE first...then medicare.
the pink elephant is obamacare...getting rid of medicare and keeping obamacare will cost us all MORE

How so? If he makes SS and MediCare more efficient, or a new model, then how is that bad?
Are you so tightly clenched to the current unsustainable model?

No im not taxed...but lets be realistic ok...the teaparty as it stands right now is comprised of mostly middle class babyboomers. The babyboomers are the largest block of americans including all races and ethnicities. I fully understand the wealthy want social security gone and medicare...but they are a minority.
If the gop jumps right on social security and medicare, lets be realistic and not idealistic here...the middle class babyboomers will turn on them like dogs...If theres going to be any chance for real reform....it had better be prioritized so it will be accepted by who it HAS to be accepted by middle class babyboomers. Keep in mind babyboomers are not just white..they are hispanic, black and everything else..
Right now the whole Govt looks like a Ponzi scheme.

Rubio is incredible. We really do have a good crop popping up.
Crist needs to go pick a new shade of silver and work on his tan.

Eventually, and choice be put back into the hands of the people, but I have yet to here many of the wealthy say they see a hard cut to SS or Medicare. I am not sure why you think that is the case? Help me understand why you say that. The wealthy understand many old folks are dependent on SS.

Even if we keep SS, we can optimize it and make it better. Why is that a bad thing?
