President Trump signed three executive orders Friday containing sweeping reforms that weaken protections for federal workers and eliminate perks for the unions that represent them.
Under the new executive orders, unions will be charged rent for federal office space and will not be reimbursed for travel expenses or for hours spent appealing worker firings.
All federal workers will be ordered to spend 75 percent of their time on government work, and agencies are ordered to publicly post union contracts in an online repository.
Trump ordered the termination of an Obama-era policy that says leniency for one worker sets a precedent protecting others from firing, and shortened review periods preceding discipline for poor-performing employees.

President Donald Trump on Friday signed a trio of executive orders to overhaul the federal bureaucracy by making it easier to fire federal workers for poor performance and misconduct, requiring that departments and agencies negotiate better union contracts and limiting the amount of time certain federal workers can spend on union business.
Labor unions immediately criticized the moves.
"These executive orders will make it easier for agencies to remove poor performing employees and ensure that taxpayer dollars are more efficiently used," Andrew Bremberg, Trump's chief domestic policy adviser, told reporters at a briefing. Bremberg said the orders fulfill Trump's promise to "promote more efficient government by reforming our civil service rules."

This is just sound business practice. A good and efficient business cannot allow the inmates to run the asylum.

I would like seeing the FULL union contract, not just the BS little book the union give out to their members. But every thing said throughout negotiations. Not that small hand book of 25 to 50 pages, but the full 3.000 to 10.000 pages of negotiations.

All public unions should be abolished. Not just the federal level either, but also State public unions. That includes the NEA teacher's union, and the International Union of Police Associations. Public unions subvert our constitutional republic.

I guess it's my thick Conservative skin, little bothers me anymore, especially libs that jumped from the Obozo train and claim conservative status.
They can't hide their core failings so they attack every poster that questions their lack of values.
So far all he's done here is to insult every member and play down the strides Conservatives have made in the last decade.
Libs are pessimists at heart, while Conservatives are optimists from birth and his posts speak volumes over his faux claims to the aforementioned.
He just disemboweled the unions

We are also expecting a decision from the SCOTUS concerning the mandatory membership of public sector unions. That one will be huge.

How long would a union last if each month, people had to pay each month by check and not have auto pay out of their paycheck.
Also if union dues were not tax deductible. That's like saying all my house and car insurance should tax deductible.
But will congress ever make them permanent?

Probably not, but the unions best days are behind them, way behind them.

I always say that about withholding income tax.
If people had to write a check instead of having it withheld from their paycheck, there'd be a mutiny.
A lot of people don't even know they pay taxes.

Them that pay taxes do. Them that don't just don't care what the rest of us pay.
Not all...Some look at their net pay and think...This is what I make.

I must run with a better class of people, they all know how to read the pay stub.
Even people that don't speak English, know when their paycheck is short even 1ยข.
