You like nosing around our place, we have very fast Dobermans, they work in pairs & have put deer to terrifying flight.  The 11yr old harmless, lazy looking, Bloodhound, Police lineage, trained in Search n Rescue - is the "fasted biter" of the bunch.  If you move too quick, be ready for stitches, he's lightning fast - and you're the stranger in HIS territory.  The Swedish Vallhunds are lightning fast sprinters, and very loud barkers.  If the cows run from them, ears folded back from the loud barking, trust me, your communication devices will utterly fail too.  It is utterly impossible to out-run or stand and fight these dogs... they own the place, we're just caretakers.

Our farmette is fenced, not to keep things in - but varmints OUT, 4 legged and 2 legged.
I can have the back hoe on the tractor in 15min, it goes 7.5 ft deep, your "free ranging pet" crosses into our pasture, it'll join the rest of them, composting, down there.
Our cats have have taken out snakes, rabbits, squirrels, rats, mice, moles - our house is 100% mouse free... they only stop in for a drink of water.  I'm their "doorman", they leave me "tips"... mouse ears, claws, tails.  A tough-guy Rooster thought the cats weren't so tough, his 2" spurs didn't do him any good, he was half-plucked and left for dead... don't mess with a couple of barn cats who compete with each other, for the biggest kills.  We use to hatch Bob White quail, the fillet minion of the sky - you know those cats and leap about 4 feet up and catch a bird fleeing?   We kept raising the bird feeder, higher and higher, until we stopped seeing feathers under it... tried to hang it from a tree - nope, they just went higher, waiting and would "silently spring thru the air 5-6 feet" for a sparrow.  We had to "re-train" the cats - Don't mess with the Ducks.  Everyone knows, "Those are DAD'S ducks" and the "Ducks know DAD."

And we capture all of it on 24/7 surveillance cameras, right down to the mailbox which was stolen 2x before, and never again.  Whatever happened when that chain broke, meh, not my fault.  Only 4' of that 10' 3x6x1/2" tubular steel post is showing, the other 6' is in the ground, filled with concrete - it hasn't move at all, but, judging from the chain marks, someone was a slow learner.  I saved the broken chain pieces for something better.

My 80yr old neighbor doesn't mess around either, hunt on his land, he'll rest his .243 on the porch railing, and deflate your tires.  He use to pull the valve stems, but got tired of walking out, bending over - eh... just shoot them, they'll call a tow truck and never come back - too bad they can't read the "No Trespassing Signs" - they're all over the place.

Just leave us alone, and gun shots don't scare us, we often shoot Trap to keep the reflexes up, HP rifle for the accuracy, and steel hanging in the woods to stay sharp, identify "hiding" foreign invaders, deer, mice, rabbits.  We're just poor people, hanging on, minding our own business, learning to be content with the little bit god's given us, very thankful.  We're also the "gate-keepers" to what God's entrusted to us.

I don't have something to HIDE - I just nothing to SHARE. 
Best to "call ahead", before coming over, as my neighbor says.... some of us still pee off the front porch, we don't want to look up suddenly and get you wet.
Just move on, and leave us alone, we'll both be glad you did.
