How many times have I heard, in the last 6 months, "Glad I'm not gonna be around to see it...", from +60 people.  Like they're expecting nobody to do anything, while they slink back into their recliners - or maybe they already *know* the younger generation is going to rise up, and blame them for *not* doing anything?

Every time I get into a conversation related to an uprising - I ask, "Do you vote?  Have you ever contributed to a campaign, time or money?  Have you ever called, or written your Representatives?  Are you on your Representative's mailing list?  Have you ever put up a yard sign for a congressional candidate?  Do you vote in Primaries?  Can you name your Representative?"

The answer is "none of the above" - with lousy excuses.  We have a political system in place - and people who do not exercise their rights - complain the loudest....  I usually get really pissed off when I answer them - "YOU are the problem!"  We are going the wrong way, because of non-participation in the process.
