I think it was the Fall of 1984. I remember hearing his first show. I was framing a house with a couple of guys, we were laying out a wall on the slab when he came on.
We kept setting studs and measuring out doors and windows when  we all kind of looked at each other and said WTF? This guy is a breath of fresh air!

I think he was ripping Ann Rudin the mayor, for trying to get the city to drop the term Man Hole Cover or something like that, then he moved onto explain how "Save The Whale" had nothing to do with saving the whale.
One thing I credit Rush for is teaching me Critical Thought, to never take a lib idea at face value, question the hidden motive.

This was before Ailes of the GOP Establishment discovered him, after that, it was careful speak where anything involving RINO was avoided.
Ailes died and Rush seems to have broken with the establishment.

He has contributed to a generation and half on the perils of the left. So many believed everything they heard ob the nightly news. The radio air waves were populated by leftists like Michael Jackson. He softened over the years as he maintained his position in the talk radio industry. He has made it possible for other conservative personalities to get air time.

Yep, before Rush there was just a few of the greats, but Rush kicked the door open and literally saved the AM frequency. Now we own it, anyone that works for a living is in the least, exposed to the truth.
