Most Republicans refuse to admit they are politically correct...yet they are....most do not really understand what political correctness is to begin with.

Yes, Republicans in large are PC, but don't think for one moment that includes anyone here, we are Conservatives.

I think of myself as a Tea Party conservative, that happens to be registered as a republican, due to a lack of any other credible choice.

I think the volume of people that I piss off on a regular basis, would preclude me from the PC crowd.

In my view we have to align with the GOP. Talk of a third party effort is the dems greatest wish. Divide and conquer.

I can't see that happening.  They centralized power during the convention.  At this point, the Democrat party is the Communist/Socialist/Marxist party, and the Republican party is the new Democrat party.

Conservatism means different things to different people.  Some think they are 'conservative' just because they are against raising taxes.

True, my neighbor considers himself a moderate and hardcore fiscal conservative.
What it really means is, he is for welfare of all types, but wants limits placed on them.

But he still calls himself conservative, I call him an idiot lib.

Well....first of all anyone interested in getting the democrats out of the White House should not be concerned with what the democrats want or do not want--and that applies also to the media...look how the republicans let the democrats lead them down the road to defeat.

What any party should be concerned about is the truth....now most understand how the media and the democrats deceieve the people.....but the Republicans do little better....because they refuse to tell the truth...if they know it.

I say all this just to say this....do not shy away from forming a third party just because you think they do not have a chance of winning(which is probably true unless they come up with a truly charasmatic leader) because I assure you unless there is a real revolultion within the republican party aka...getting rid of the moderate,pc, and liberals b.s. they will never win again.

Most likely they will become even more liberal...cuz dats whut da media wants...and these dunderheads listen to the media b.s. way tooooooo much.

Well..............they have a llittle time to figure it out but I doubt they will.

So bottome line if the Real Conservatives can come up with a third party candidate...everyone should support that candidate irregardless....you may not win...but at least it would give you someone to vote for.

I'd say a lot of my thinking, (on the social side), is more libertarian. You leave me alone, and I'll leave you alone.

I don't think the government should be mandating coservative values any more than liberal values. Also, as small a government as what is necessary.

Ya know the really sad part? He was appointed by then, Gov Reagan to be the lead judge for the California Lemon Law trial back in the 70s.
Even back then, Ca had nothing to choose from as far as conservative judges were concerned.
And today? They are extinct...

CA is broke. It will not be long beore they come begging to DC for a bailout. I hope the House GOP will show some resolve and let them go into a normal bankruptcy. Then reality will set in for the folks in the land of "fruits and nuts".

If I'm not mistaken, it might even be unconstitutional, in the least precedent setting and would prove damaging to the country.
That is, if the Fed bailed them out, but what could actually happen is, an appointed controller of funds and receipts, in other words, a judge would decide how much we cut state salaries, pension benefits etc.

The state would be forced to sell off non essentialist to pay creditors, forced to dissolve certain state entities like Cal-trans (transportation) and force it to run bare bones, kind of like it was when I grew up here, when we actually had the best roads in the country and police went after bad guys, not just write tickets for revenue.

Yep, I'm all in favor of insolvency/bankruptcy.
