Report: Netanyahu to lead effort in thwarting Obama bid for UN chief position

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu remembers well just how US President Barack Obama brushed aside Israeli objections and went ahead with the P5+1 nuclear agreement with Iran.

Now, Netanyahu is reportedly planning some personal payback.

According to the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida, Netanyahu will make common cause with moderate Arab governments in order to sabotage Obama's plan to succeed Ban Ki-moon when the South Korean diplomat ends his term as United Nations secretary-general on December 31 of this year.

There'll be plenty of Saudi impetus to keep that bum out the seat as well.  I think he'll be in for huge surprise that most of the world is unimpressed by him.  I remember that idiotic 'summit' he had almost a year ago.  Dignitaries wondering why they were there, watching some kids performing some amateurish folk-dancing ritual.

That is a scary thought... Obama at the helm of the U.N. 

That would be the perfect storm for international disaster.

Hopefully saner minds will prevail.

I hope it happens, it would finally expose to the libs just how much an American hating Marxist he really is.

I perceive that Obama at the helm of the U.N. could indeed be very dangerous for us.

He would likely transform it into a much more powerful entity.  He would see himself as Ruler of the World.

I have long thought that the U.N. would be the vehicle of the biblical anti-christ of Revelation.  It is the only organization that lends itself to elevating a single person to world leadership.

Not only could Obama fundamentally transform America, he could transform the entire world to conform to his ideology.  We all know how persuasive he can be with simple minds.  He is devious and deceptive beyond belief!!

Too bad Obama will not follow the tradition of his predecessors and go back home to Chicago to write his memoirs.  That is not his style.  He is far too lazy for that type of work.  He wants to stay in the spotlight and continue his perpetration of evil on the world.

I perceive the U.N. will eventually move to Iraq.. near Baghdad ....  in the suburb of Babylon.

You do NOT envision Obama taking great measures to extend the powers of the U.N.?

The Presidency was his testing ground.  If he could run roughshod over the most powerful nation in the world surely he could do the same in spades at the U.N. with far greater consequences.

I was under the impression that no one from the 5 premanent members of the Security Council could be named Secretary General of the U.N..
