You have the corporate republicans that want this cheap labor,   You have the base that is finally realizing that millions of illegals coming into America taking jobs.    So what we have now is these republican politicians talking out of both sides of their mouth.   They are not enforcing laws or trying to pass legislation because they want to appease there corporate donors who want the cheap labor,  then they go to their base then yell about what a problem it is and say we need to build fences to the moon.

So what is happening now is the Mexican are hearing this rhetoric and they are driving them to the democrats who are now jumping on the opportunity to get the Hispanic vote that are American citizens. And if they can get illegals now to becomes citizens that is millions of more votes for the dems.

Reagan was promised by the Democrats that if he went along with a one time amnesty for the illegals in this country at the time, they would give him what he wanted in the way of border enforcement. Reagan kept his part of the deal, and as, usual, the Democrats didn't
