I was once into rockcrawing and off-roading in a big way. There's a lot of camping involved so lots of camping gear is needed. I used to go to REI for camping gear and supplies until they announced that they contrubuted some of their income to The Roadless Initiative which is dedicated to shutting down off-road trails. This is not new. It began in the 60's.

I've never worked at a place, with so many frustrated, Degreed Professionals. It was common to hear the stories, got that degree in Psychology, Psychiatry, Early Child development - and we'd meet for a Safety Meeting, "2.75% error this month in dispensing meds." I asked, "what.. .275% of what, 100?" "275% of 14,650" ... that's like 40 errors in dispensing psytropic drugs...? ( I need another job! ) These people are forced, under penalty of law, to do things, they probably know is wrong, or at the least ineffectual. Government got involved in drugging and sedating children for stuff that's "newly discovered", to suppress normal kid activity. The next generation cannot function outside those Government guidelines, that's their "normal" - they expect certain behavior, in fact demand it out of their peers.
Another problem - the get rich quick executives, who really have no stake in the game. They're hired (sometimes by friendly associates, college friends), without any real connection to what the company does, to the board of directors. As former "Director" myself, as soon as that was on my resume, I was flooded with calls & mails (before email), for "Placement Firms". Those are firms who will manage your upward rise, "place you on a board, move you around ever 3-5 years, until you get where THEY think you can do the most good... for them." When they found out I have 4 kids, "You'll have to be willing to let your family go for a dozen years, can you deal with that...?" Either divorce your wife, or if she can stand not seeing you for the next dozen years - we can work with you, there are 5-6 companies looking for a guy with your talent, we'll bring you up to speed on the rest. In the end, you-are-owned, by these firms, like a politician, they push policy, everything though you. If... their client is George Soros, you work for George, through "your" firm. Yes, I would have been under contract for a dozen years, to fully launch my career. I decided against it - but could name a few people well placed - who went-for-it.

Find the person(s) who would have the greatest multiplication of their ideology, convert, bribe or blackmail, them, and they'll do the dirty work for your cause.
