Title: Need A New Car? Think Toyota

This one kind of shocked me, Toyota goes against the Marxist nrrative.

Toyota Doubles Down, Defends Donations To Republicans After Online Outrage

Toyota defended its decision to spend tens of thousands of dollars in donations to over three-dozen Republicans that objected to certifying the Electoral College votes in the 2020 presidential election.

Toyota donated a total of $55,000 to 37 GOP lawmakers who objected to the certification of the Electoral College's votes during the 2020 presidential election, Axios reported Sunday. A company spokesperson told the outlet that they do not believe a member of Congress' standpoint on the election should be a factor in the company's decision to offer a donation, but refused to donate to members that "undermine" American elections.

"We do not believe it is appropriate to judge members of Congress solely based on their votes on the electoral certification," the spokesperson said in a statement. "Based on our thorough review, we decided against giving to some members who, through their statements and actions, undermine the legitimacy of our elections and institutions."

I have had 3 Toyota cars and my mom had 2 and they were all great.

OF the American cars we both had over the last 40 years I can truthfully say NONE.

I hate to say it, but I gave up on American cars years ago. They all have been junk compared to my Rav4.

Never been a fan of the Rav4 mainly because of the rear door (not a fan of side opening doors). Prefer lifting rear doors. They act like shelter when it rains..

However, the new Rav4 doesn't look as bad. I promise to check it out.

I think they stop making them with side opening doors years ago. I have a 2017 and it has a rear lift door.

Well, something happened! When the Dodge brothers started their company, one of their selling points was reliability. Now it's one of the worst in the business. Fords reliability has been a joke since I was a kid and Chevrolet isn't much better. It really is sad.

I have driven my ram trucks over 350,000 miles before trading in, in all I have over a million miles with them. I tow over 15,000 lbs when I need to move my tractor. I change the oil and other fluids, tires, batteries, and plugs. No other repairs. If that is the worst in the business I have to assume the others do not need oil changes?

I'm just going by my personal research, glad you've had good luck. 350k with just oil changes is pretty darn good.

Same here, had my Dodge 3500 4x4 Cummins for 10 years now and not one issue outside of the lumbar support going out in my seat. Went out twice. :glare:

Back in the 90's our company cars were Dodge Intrepids. I had 3 or 4 and they were all very reliable and enjoyable. When I reached the mileage on a couple I bought them for Mrs. Sup.
