I am new to this forum and I would like to introduce myself and tell you a bit about why I am here.
My father was a proud UNION member who fought to establish the UNION in his workplace. He went on and on telling me
about how much it improved his pay, benefits, and quality of life. When I got a job at American Airlines I was very
excited to become a UNION member because my father made it sound like something great. While most of my coworkers
blew off UNION induction I was proud to go and even wanted my wife to come and witness the event.
The reality of it working under a UNION was quite different. I found myself in an environment where only seniority mattered. Work ethic
and ambition had no place. UNION members with seniority would spew propaganda about equality and presenting a
united front. The truth of the matter is they saw junior people as nothing more than a means to continue their
laziness and layoff fodder.
The UNION was all to eager to push political agendas that had nothing to do with labor. I came to realize over time
that the UNION was nothing more than a means to fund the Democratic Party and act as a conduit to deliver
propaganda to the membership. In short the UNION was nothing more than a mechanism of manipulation and control that
I was PAYING for. Over time I began to see the UNION and the Democratic Party use the same tactics to implement
their agendas. This was the beginning of my conversion to embrace the Republican Party and conservatism.
Since my eyes have been opened I am starting to see just how vile and manipulative the "liberal" Democratic Party
really is.
Here are some fine examples of their manipulation and double standards at work.
Let's start with political correctness. Political correctness is nothing more than liberal peer pressure. It is a
bullying tactic liberals use to censor anything that does not support their agenda. At its worst it is used to
suppress common sense. Take for example the recent media coverage of Ahmed Mohamed. The liberal media would like to
present this youth as a victim of whatever "PHOBE" they invented that week. My theory is this is something his
father (a well known Muslim activist) and his liberal buddies master minded. After all if you don't show support
for this "victim" you are obviously a racist "islamaPHOBE" right?
The second thing I would like to address is the implementation of law in this country. Our government is all too
eager to throw Kim Davis in jail for not following a law that was IMPOSED on the American people. I would like to
know when law will be applied to the owners, employees, and patrons of illegal marijuana dispensaries (they are
violating federal law). When is the law going to be applied to the government employees and officials who refuse to
enforce immigration laws in the "sanctuary" cities? It is pretty obvious laws do not apply to you as long as you
are pushing a liberal agenda.
The third thing I would like to address is the government IMPOSING law on the people in an attempt to socially
engineer a cultural change in the name of "civil rights". Gay marriage is a prime example of this. The Democrats
will tell you over 50% of the population support gay marriage. This "proof" has the benefit of being blindly
accepted despite being estimated and undocumented. If so many people support it then why impose it on the people?
Why not put it up for a vote and put the debate behind us? The answer of course is because it is a lie manufactured
by the left to justify them imposing law on the people.
If the government wants to talk about statistics let's talk about THIS statistic. In 2010 homosexual men accounted
for 78% of new HIV infections among males and 63% of all new infections. This is documented by the CDC (see the
link below).
In 2010 gays accounted for 63% of all new infections despite only being an estimated 4% of the population.........
In 2011 gays accounted for 54% of all DOCUMENTED people living with HIV......... Gays claim they value marriage but
the DOCUMENTED statistics say they value casual sex.
Gay marriage is an attempt by liberals to socially engineer acceptance of homosexual relationships. By applying the
label marriage they seek to validate it and implement widespread acceptance. Gays do NOT value traditional
marriage. If they did they would not have such a high rate of HIV infection being such a small segment of the
population.
In short I came here hoping to find people that share the same social concerns I do and are of like mind.

"Although MSM represent about 4% of the male population in the United States, in 2010, MSM accounted for 78% of new
HIV infections among males and 63% of all new infections. MSM accounted for 54% of all people living with HIV
infection in 2011, the most recent year these data are available."
Now tell us how you really ZQuickSilverZ.
Welcome to the forum Z, though all of us share in your disdain and pure hatred for Marxist Dims, the focus of this forum is more towards the TEA agenda.
Smaller, less intrusive govt, lower taxes, and with that comes less social engineering on the part of communists, so we try and make social issues play second fiddle to the damage both party's are doing to the nation, which is the very reason Boner got the boot up his traitorous ass.
Normally posts like this get moved to the new member introduction thread, but you had a lot to say, so it stays.
Again, welcome to the forum.
I believe you're preaching to the choir here. But welcome anyway.

There's a thread for that?
You might want to check out http://www.unionconservatives.com/
It was founded by a line worker in a Ford plant in Michigan.
He got fed up with all the leftist BS in the union newsletters.
Good news: most of the line workers don't read them.
Fact is, most union members are pretty conservative.
Union bosses, especially at the national level,
do NOT represent their members' values!
In the late 1980s, Wesley Wells, the local (Dayton) AFL-CIO president
asked why union members, who are pretty conservative,
should have to abandon their values to support pro-union politicians.
That was published in the Dayton Daily News one Sunday.
On Tuesday morning, then-Senator Howard Metzenbaum (D-OH)
was in Dayton having a private meeting with Mr. Wells.
QuickSilver, an anecdote from history.
In the late 19th century, Otto Von Bismarck in Germany, Benjamin Disraeli in Britain and Theodore Roosevelt, all grasped that the key to political longevity was non-Socialist working class Labor, not the Corporate Class w/their Crony Capitalists. Both Roosevelt and Mark Hanna, the head of the R Party, were personal friends w/ Samuel Gompers, head of the A.F. L; who believed labor to be a natural R constituency. In contrast, Taft and his cronies were corporatists, this being the essence of the Bull-Moose fight in 1912. That outcome was fateful since when FDR won in 1932, labor has never looked back.
Modern labor is heir to the medieval guilds and intrinsically a conservative social and political force. The fact that it is being led by Marxists does not change that fundamental reality.

Welcome to the site. Now that the pleasantries are out of the way, bull. Unless you're contention is that the fourteenth amendment of the Constitution was just "imposed" on us all. Nothing was "Imposed" upon Kim Davis, but that which she asked for.

Looks to me like he's hitting enter twice at the end of each line. The size of his font probably makes it look more readable on the editor.
Welcome to the party Z.
You discovered what a lot of us dislike about unions. They create mediocrity. If you try to get ahead in a job, you'll be accused of brown nosing or making your co-workers look bad. Some of them can be quite hostile towards anyone who wants to do more than just put in their time.
