MONOPOLY is one of the best, and most viewed documentaries of all time, even in an age of extreme censorship, that tries to hide truth. But for those of you who haven't viewed it yet, I want to give a brief summary, hoping this will tickle you enough to watch it anyway, despite your busy schedule.
In our world we see countless brands, names, logos that all seem to compete with one another. There are countless corporations offering different services in clothing, food, travel, technology, agriculture, finance, and so on.
There is for example Pepsi Cola and Coca Cola, two major competitors in the field of soda drinks, right? WRONG!
There is also Samsung and iPhone, two gigantic competitors in the field of smartphones, right? WRONG!
There are Mac and PC computers, the ultimate example of two rivals, competing for the largest marketshare of personal computers, right? WRONG!
There is Facebook and Twitter, competing fiercely for the largest audience in social media, right? WRONG!
None of these corporations compete with one another. That's just the surface for the ignorant consumers, like you and me, who are fooled by the different brand names. Sure, these brands used to compete in a distant past, but the stage has been changed long since.
Today all those major brands that seem to compete, are essentially owned by one and the same corporation: Vanguard. MONOPOLY shows this on screen, so you can see it for yourself.
Vanguard is the one entity in the world that virtually owns all the big industries in the world, be it pharmaceutical, news media, hospitals, technology, travel, food, mining, gas, oil, banking, and so on.
This means that almost everything you eat, drink, dress with, sleep on, drive, travel with, read, watch, listen to, communicate with, work from, and so on is all owned by the same very small group of mega wealthy individuals.

I know my dad talked to me alot about politics when I was in high school. I would say to him something like, we shld make it a law that you have to be a christian, and he would say, well then what happens when msulims are in power and say everyone has to be a muslim, and I would be dumbfounded, speechless, and need to rethink it all :lol:

Had a discussion, ok, not really a discussion more like a butt in, with a couple of liberals a while back about the democrats being dead, ( I washed my hands real good afterward) well not dead but very weak now. Their talk centered around Obama, did he lengthen or shorten the life of the party. I told them Obama was such a do nothing he really had no effect on their party living or dying, the party started dying with LBJ, and it was the dnc that allowed the base to shift so far to the left that killed their party. Their candidates for president or anything else did not think for themselves, they followed what the media and the dnc told them to do. You actually raise an interesting point, a literal difference in just a few generations.
My generation. Growing up in the 50s and 60s, politics was boring, few if any discussed it. Granted, I lived in Sacramento where not much went on beyond local issues and even they were immaterial. To think, this was the Capitol of Calif, before the Marxists invaded. (Until Nam, where hindsight exposes part of a bigger leftist plan. That's for another discussion.)
Discussions with my dad weren't so much political as they were global because of the USSR, china wouldn't become a topic for a whole decade.
Then your generation was inducted into the lefts war against the youth, again, more division within society, using the youth to attack anyone who didn't pull the MTV line of leftist brainwashing.
Not your fault, they went after mine too, but in more subtle ways. Like "don't trust anyone over 30", they are the old generation, they can't possibly know the struggles you have.

Remember a time when nothing was political outside of DC? Where our Representatives all agreed that protecting the Republic was all that mattered?
A change took place in the early 40s through the 60s where welfare became a tool of politicians. I believe that was the very first crack in the wall, where people looked to the Fed as being all powerful over the State.
Our Republic was soon referred to as a democracy and suddenly the mob had a voice, a small mob indeed, but a vocal one at that.
It wouldn't be long before the State had its hand out for Federal funds over road work/parks etc.
One only has to look back to the 40s to see our Govt was stealing power from the states. I really can't blame that generation, a generation more focused on their own lives, while counting on those they elected to do the right thing.

Ive long said that the very notion of an LLC is socialistic and anti competition.
Capitalism is about risk reward. Well another word for risk is liability and LLCs are Limited Liability Corporations. So the point is, how can competition work when you limit the risk?

I think they started in the 80s or 90s and yes most of the major companies fall into this. I see LLCs as a backdoor for crony capitalism.
In the end at a LLC no one is fully responsible for the corporations actions or losses. Thats the point, so these people can invest without the risk of losing everything. At a mom and pop shop, if they dont pay the company bills then they can even loss their personal boat or car or whatever.
Not so with an LLC. There the big shots are protected from liability by the law. Thus they will choose strategies which will make a quick buck in the short run but which can bankrupt the company in future, assuming of course they arent too big to fail and get a govt handout.

Yep, and an LLC also allows them to not be liable for any tax theft they pulled during their time.

Currently, there are about five million corporations in the USA.
Most of the major corporations are incorporated in Delaware,
even though most of them have no operations in Delaware.
That's because the laws of Delaware are designed to be favorable to major corporations.
The purpose of an LLC is to limit your liability to what you invested in your business;
to protect your personal assets.
This helps protect you against frivolous lawsuits.
About ten years ago, Ohio moved to be as business-friendly as possible.
They streamlined the process to form a corporation.
It's now almost as easy as buying a fishing license!
If the entire process takes more than one day,
you're the one dragging your feet!

This is the problem. For over 100 years, including the age of the big business barons of the 1800s, people in a sole or partnership would be personally responsible. I agree frivolous lawsuits should be gotten rid of through the law. But that liability, that risk, is a fundamental part of the competitive capitalist system. Without it corporations run amok, not fearing repercussions and develop crony capitalism.
