Title: McAuliffe backs Shrill by pardoning 206,000 inmates
Post by: quiller on April 23, 2016, 11:42:08 AM
Hillary's future White House Chief of Staff (or so he presumes) has pardoned 206,000 convicts --- including mass murderers --- and the Virginia Speaker of the House is furious about it.....

QuoteVirginia House of Delegates Speaker William J. Howell blasted Gov. Terry McAuliffe Friday for permitting convicted violent felons to vote, run for office, and serve on juries, saying the governor issued the order to help Hillary Clinton win Virginia during the general election.

"The Governor's policy applies to criminals who have committed even the most heinous violent crimes including murder, rape, child rape, and kidnapping. Under this Governor's policy, violent criminals will be treated the same as lifelong law-abiding citizens. Not only will these criminals have the right to vote, but they will also be serving on our juries," Howell said in a scathing statement.

A few of the heavy-breather poli-wonks are saying Virginia will be the true November battleground. After this it's more like an abject surrender.

The democrats have to find voters somewhere.

I would be to concerned about this. 90% of them will be back in prison by time the general election rolls around.

Most of them will kill each other or whomever took over their business and doesn't ante up.  Problem is they will kill a few innocent citizens along with it which is why we should impeach McAwful right now.

Can a governor do that?
Doesn't it take an act of the legislature to do that?

Wasn't Terry's election rather close?

It was an EO. The next governor can rescind it. Sounds like a good campaign pitch for a conservative.

However, if it's a Governors EO, it cannot effect a National election, in other words, they can only vote in local and state elections, but not the presidential.

What I'm saying is,
these prohibitions that this Governor is overturning,
these prohibitions are statutory law, aren't they?
No EO can violate statutory law, right?
Such an EO would automatically be invalid and unlawful.

I don't think he'd want anything except Chief of Staff for the absolute power he would wield in her name. I'm still convinced she'll name Dershowitz to the high court.

After how many died in order for Shrill to get more votes, from the absolute scum of our earth?
