Some of these even surprised me!
Uhh that should have been plural, sorry for the typo, folks.
A large percentage of blacks tend to be social conservatives (which faux libertarians hate), but when it comes down to it most of even these will vote Demonrat. I suppose it's because of what they believe is their economic "best interest."
Even J.C. Watts and Armstrong Williams at the LEAST, talked about voting for Obama because of the historical precedence. That's a shame that they would even CONSIDER putting aside their VALUES over race/blood ties.
Something on one of the other lists caught my attention...
Alice Cooper is a Republican?!
WTF!
If the republicans don't pull it together, they can expect all of those wonderful lists to get shorter.
No surprises on any of them. They are comprised of business people; they know that democrats will try to steal their earnings.

It isn't race/blood ties, it is simple economic interest. You would expect
ANYONE on any type of governmental assistance to vote Dim; if you're Paul being paid from robbing Peter, that should be expected. Next is the number of blacks who work in the government: Federal, State and Municipal. Again, that's where you're "rice bowl" is at. Given our current fiscal plight; One of the places to cut back will be government employees and entitlements. I would be interested in seeing how that effects voting patterns among blacks.
Probably true, but it isn't true of people like Armstrong Williams or J.C. Watts. THAT'S what depresses Conservatives, that when it comes down to it, "we" degenerate to tribalism rather than reason.

True, but in all fairness, there were plenty of notable white Republicans who either voted for, or seriously considered voting for Obama in '04 based solely on the "historic" nature of him being the first black (well,
half black) president.

Maybe. Can you name any? And you did say "Republicans." I spoke of
CONSERVATIVE black leaders (J. C. Watts, Armstrong Williams).

I wouldn't call either of them Conservatives, both have advocated RINO ideals.

'08...
Jeffery Hart - senior editor of
National ReviewAndrew Sullivan - author of
The Conservative SoulScott McConnell - editor of
The American ConservativeDavid Ruder - Chairman of the SEC under President Reagan
Wick Allison - Former publisher of
The National ReviewJulie Nixon Eisenhower - Daughter of Richard M. Nixon
Ken Duberstein - former Reagan Chief of Staff...
And you're still insisting that these are CONSERVATIVES????
Although she's not her father, Nixon was no conservative. He gave us the EPA, and if I remember correctly, price controls.

I never insisted any of them were conservatives...
My post.

My whole point was that black CONSERVATIVES, when it comes down to it, put RACE above principle. You are throwing in white REPUBLICANS to say they do it too.
I'm talking about CONSERVATIVES. As you SHOULD know, being a Republican doesn't make you conservative.

All I'm trying to say is "stupid" knows no color boundary!
