Are you the kind of person who likes the Home Shopping Network but thinks it could be massively improved with a lot less jewelry and a lot more firearms and concealed weapons apparel for women?
If so, next year will be a banner year for you because GunTV, a new, 24-hour live-shopping channel dedicated to the sale of guns and gun-related gear, is scheduled for a January 2016 launch.
The station will be run by The Social Responsibility Network (which appears to run nothing else).
Louisiana-based Sports South, a 174-year-old distributor of guns and ammunition, is a partner in the channel.
The GunTV programming schedule will include a mix of live shopping segments, firearms safety public service announcements and infomercials about guns, ammunition, gun accessories and outdoor goods and apparel.
"All kinds of firearms, munitions, outdoor and shooting sports products" will be available, the GunTV website explains to prospective sellers. "Each product is reviewed for attributes that have the best opportunity for success. Items should have many of the following attributes: best value to the GunTV consumer, new, revolutionary, demonstrable, exclusives, collectable, unique, problem solving, solution oriented, quality."
The GunTV logo features a shapely woman brandishing a gun in a quasi-Charlie's Angels silhouette pose as well as a silver bullet gliding through the air.

I love it when Capitalism kills the lib agenda.
So how do they handle background checks for something like that?

I was thinking the same thing.

The gun will be shipped to a licensed firearms dealer who you will then pay to run the background check.

I my state if you have a CCP you have had your background check and can walk out the door with it.

That is the way all mail order guns are handled. .... local dealer must be middle man.
You pay for that privilege!!
How cool is this.........

Depending on the dealer, here in Ca. the fee can run from $70.0 to $200.0 or more in handling and State processing fees.

That is exactly why I bought directly from the Gun Club. It actually saved me money. It was a fair price and no transfer fees!

Good move.
I got a real good price on several weapons, almost too good to be true, till I found out he was one of those that charged a premium for the paperwork.
Big 5 had the best price in the long run.

In Texas as well, Walks. I just bought a new Remington 1911 45ACP. I used my CCW license, no background check, but still an affidavit stating I had no criminal history and/or restraining orders.
I hope it's not endless talking. It shouldn't be. I'd expect demonstrations similar to the ones that Dana Loesch featured on her show sometimes. -From the gun-range.

Nah, any age can watch.
If I had cable, I'd probably watch it! The engineering that goes into mechanical things has always fascinated me, I like to know 'how things work'. Farm shows, antique steam, hit-n-miss engines, iron work in a fire, and how guns work - all neat stuff!

The above is how it's handled IF the sale is across state lines.
If the sale is within a state, the transfer can be handled as a private sale,
(no background check) if the seller is not a licensed dealer.
HERE'S a site I know you will like:
Most people know about IMDB - Internet Movie Data Base.
You can look up actors by name and see which movies they've been in.
There's also IMFDB - Internet Movie Firearms Data Base!

That's an
AWESOME site!!
I looked-up 1980's
The Dogs Of War, in which two of my fave weapons were featured... the 25mm Manville Projectile Launcher (available in 37mm and in 40mm as the
Hawk MM1 Grenade Launcher) and Norway's
M72 light anti-tank weapon.
I'm a born fire-bug.
