The Senate approved voted 51-49 to confirm Kash Patel as the new FBI director. In a surprise, Senator Mitch McConnell voted yes while moderate conservatives Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Susan Collins (Maine) voted no.
While highly acclaimed through years of service in the DOJ and within the government, Patel drew criticism from democrats because of his claims that the FBI had been weaponized politically.
In 2023, Patel wrote a book titled, "Government Gangsters: The Deep State, the Truth, and the Battle for Our Democracy"

Yeah there will be retirements but I guarantee you there will be a few indictments too. Call me foolish but I still believe there are a few good people left in the FBI and the Govt who know where the bones are buried and know a lot of secrets put to rest. I still believe the vast majority of the FBI agents are loyal to this country and it's constitution. But they're not in D.C. Which is good, Patel will not have to travel far to round up the bad ones. He's transferring 1500 of the agents in D.C. back to the nation. The crooked ones will bow out. I love the fact the left has not yet realized that itch around their neck is from a rope.
