After months of largely peaceful disruptions, some protests erupted into scattered violence this week over the government's push to raise the retirement age from 60 to 62. President Nicolas Sarkozy vowed that his conservative party would pass the reform in a Senate vote expected Thursday.
5 to 10 months???? If the FED decides to reward Wall Street Bankers at the expense of Main Street pensions and IRA's (again) at it's Nov. 3rd Meeting, there could be some 'civil unrest' of some sort. I don't expect Mom's and Pops and Grandpa's and Grandma's to be out rioting in the streets and burning cars, but then again....
