I was all set to discuss inalienable rights.

You can imagine my disappointment, after reading this thread!

I still don't see why you being prevented from harassing homosexuals would lead to the downfall of the USA. How about this, if you don't like homosexuality, keep your opinions to yourself. I could care less for the gay lifestyle either, but just because I don't understand it, it does not give me the right to harass them and physically attack them.

As for debt work, both parties are taking care of that. Obama may be the $6 Billion Dollar man, but Bush was a $4 Billion Dollar man. Together, both parties have put us in the pockets of the Chinese. Soon we will all be working for China. I want real conservatism, as in we cut deficit spending. I'm tired of Republicans who claim to be fiscally conservative but spend like drunken sailors.

I like others will hold my nose and vote for the RINO.  As for drunken sailors, they always stopped when they run out of money.

I'll proudly vote for Mitt, no nose holding necessary. He is so far superior to the trash in office now that I will proudly exclaim my support!

Actually, it does take a rocket scientist to read the Constitution. Unfortunately us lawyers and judges have screwed the meaning of the Constitution. Thanks to judicial interpretation from the 1820's forward, the meaning of the Constitution is more complicated than what you get from plain reading of the text.

I'll come out on a limb here and take the blame for it on behalf of my profession. Just so you know how messed up it's gotten, I've read 3 or 4 books containing thousands of pages of Federal Cases on the Constitution...and dozens of academic journals on the subject, and I still don't understand some of it. It is a complicated mess thanks to the courts and us pesky people in the legal profession.

There is a very simple solution; line all lawyers up in a straight line ( even the crooked ones ) and have them count off by 3's. Give each Number 3 a frontal lobotomy. Then redo the count with those left.

Out of curiosity, have you ever read any of R Carter Pittman's work?

I would bet you would have hated George Mason.

True that young man, he is our best hope and change.

I'm pretty sure that Obama has the words hope and change patented.

Scary.

It's not scary at all; it's the best choice available. If you were starving, and had the choice between eating dog shit or the dog, which would you do? Neither is particularly palatable, or even desirable. Eating the dog shit will kill you though, and eating the dog will allow you to survive. Taking into consideration that the dog will almost certainly perish without you to feed him makes the decision that much easier.

Which do you want to do, Shooter?

First, Harry, I didn't say it wasn't the best choice AVAILABLE. ( at least between the two major parties that unfortunately will determine the outcome )  What is scary, is the two choices that are available, have unfortunately been selected by TPTB.

Putting lipstick on a pig doesn't negate the fact it is still a pig.

BTW, old friend, 'tis good to see you posting again.

Thanks, man. It's good to talk to you again.

My point is that you need to make a choice between the viable ones available, or you may end up with the worst in the lot. I know that the argument of making no choice at all exists, and that it is true. The problem with it though, is that making no choice can come back to hurt you.

The commonsense thing to do is to make the choice that is most likely to benefit you.

So I have been told more times than I can say grace over.

Even though every fiber of my being says that Mitzi is but one turd higher on the political evolutionary scale than Obama, I am being forced to make a choice between conscience and hoping for the best. I've made my choice to squeeze out a big one, on the mail in ballot, for Romney. I am hoping he doesn't turn out to be a Romnaba.

I think that was a good choice. As always, I reserve my right to be a fool in retrospect.

Completely avoided the obvious context of my post, didn't you?
Fags are merely a symptom of a much larger issue, one that forces cultural change, so much so, that little by little, they make people susceptible to any change put forward under the guise of improving individual rights, eventually diluting morality and is roots based in Religion.

Note how Christianity is being attacked, all the while pushing Sharia.
This doesn't alarm you?

Claiming conservative status, comes with a responsibility of understanding your enemies motivation and end goal.
