It was reported on FNC this morning that McConnell was considering a "poison pill" amendment to any move to have witnesses. There were no details. I can see that as the GOP controls the rules. I heard Durban and a couple of other democrat senators yesterday that democrats really only wanted their witnesses. I thought, "What in the hell are they smoking?".

Senator Warren tried to threaten the chief justice with this question: "Does the fact that the Chief Justice is presiding over an impeachment trial in which GOP Senators have thus far refused to allow witnesses or evidence contribute to the loss of legitimacy of the Chief Justice, the Supreme Court, and the Constitution?"

After he read the question he simply stared her down and then Schiff tried to clean up the mess.
