There is a new classification for union IBEW workers that install solar panels, and it is not all that much money. Why? Well in order to get contractors to hire basically someone that is also qualified to flip hamburgers can pay them below scale. Rank and file union electricians fought these new classifications, but the International Office, located in the DC swamp, did not want to be disinvited to the swank cocktail parties so they came up with new lower scale classifications for these jobs that require little to no education. The city of Oakland CA began some of this crap and there are videos of these new "green" job guys. They recruit from criminals, those that are in jail for drugs and prostitution. Wish I could remember the name of the program but it's been several years, OK, many years ago, I'm retired.
So when I hear the demented pedophile talk about these good paying union jobs, bullshit. They are sub waged jobs, and most of them are being done by drug addled former inmates.
As a retired contractor I can tell you that these unions only care about one thing; numbers of dues paying bodies they can put on a job. I was amazed at what length these union reps would go to get cheap labor on the job. As a contractor I can tell you most of these lazy bastards aren't worth much above minimum wage.
So good luck to you pipefitters, millwrights, carpenters, electricians, operating engineers, laborers and plumbers. Joke and his whore are going to fuck you over like you could never have imagined. I've confronted many 'union guys' in the past and asked them how they could support a union eager to enact those leftists programs/ideals that really work against American union apprentices/journeymen? They are the one who are either stupid or cowards for not pushing back hard against unions only interested in 'sign-ups', rather than members.

They fought, and lost, the battle to keep the international unions from coming up with cheap labor classifications to booster the continuing loss of union members. No members, no dues flowing to the IO in DC, no money for the IO in DC, no invites to smoke cigars, pat each other on the back and basically suck each other off. Been going on for years. In reality, after the checks have been cashed, solar panels are a net loss when you put into your equation the carbon required to make, the really nasty chemicals involved and their hazardous waste, it requires govt. bribing to get people to buy the damn things with tax credits. If there were any profit to be made in these things without govt funding, they wouldn't be building them in China. I retired from a career in law enforcement in New York State. If one wants to be a cop in New York State (or any of the civil service state's who do not have right to work laws) then one is compelled to join the union. Very few people like their union; they simply are compelled to play ball with them since they are the only game in town. Union officials are paid employees of the union; not union members. Many of them use their resume's to work for Personnel Departments of various government agencies and go back and forth between working for the state or local governments and/or working in some highly paid position for the union. Many of these people in New York State are graduates of the Cornell University college of Industrial Labor Relations. That degree gives them all the credentials they need to jump onto the revolving door between the state government and the labor unions. Cops who want to be allowed to do their job are no different than construction workers or any other unionized occupations. They are powerless to do anything about the status quo, which is the corrupt relationship between the politicians and then unions who the state compels them to belong to.

Yep, a big disconnect between the dues payers and the dues spenders. San Fransicko used to be like New York, very union town where you just don't go in there and work unless you use union labor. OK, fine, you adjust your bid. But over the years most of the local labor pool is too drug addled to show up for work, plus due to rent control and high wages these bums only need to work a couple weeks a month, go on unemployment the other two weeks and they're set. And you don't dare fire anyone for any reason or you get tied up in litigation for years. So you lay them off, they reopen their unemployment claim and the cycle continues.
Due to the local labor being mostly lazy bums, to get things done on time, the city has relaxed it's strangle hold and more and more non union contractors are working there. Of course there are protests, rent a mobs march down the street causing hell in front of the job site. Ever wonder why the rebuild on the Nimitz Freeway after the last big earthquake was the most expensive highway per mile? There's your answer. Contracts said you had to hire the neighborhood thugs first and pay them prevailing wage. The contractors set up "rooms" where these guys would sit around and stay out of the way so the travelers could do the work.
Now, the only good thing is Joke and his whore are stabbing these guys in the back. That's a big source of money and some votes, mostly money. Word gets around. Those guys on the pipeline are pissed. An extra $300 a week on unemployment isn't shit compared to what these guys make. These pipeline runners are making a ton of money on overtime, unemployment doesn't pay overtime. Hopefully this is the final straw that breaks the camels back and the marxist lose another group they have had on their plantation.
