What an asshole this guy is.
HORRIBLE. Obama Warns Disabled Vets Sequester May Affect Their Benefits... Then Jets Off to Martha's Vineyard for Lavish Vacation
What a horrible Commander in Chief. Barack Obama warned disabled veterans today that the sequester (his idea) may affect their benefits.

The guy is pure scum, he knows the sequester would never touch benefits, maybe cut working wasted hours by Govt employees.
Have we ever had a president before, who does nothing but leisure and focused lying trips ?
This is all the guy does, at this point.

It seems as though he is personally able to direct the cuts to wherever they will inflict the most damage. His Africa vacation could have paid for white house tours for the next 200 years, but that's what he was able to get cut, even though the cost amounts to pennies, and the tour guides are volunteers.
Worst part is that he does this, the truth of it gets no press, and his lies about it get huge press.
USSR, here we are.

It's not just talk either.
I don't know how he gets away with it, but somehow, Obama is able to pull very specific strings, to inflict pain on specific groups of people...with a particular hatred for the military.
It got almost zero news coverage, but fourth of July celebrations were canceled at many of our military bases; and again, we're talking peanuts in terms of money. Especially when billions are still being doled out to idiotic studies and green energy crap.

He is a petty man. The fact he has to lie and scare to get things done simply shows he is no leader.

It bugs me to think that I've been living in some kind of unrealistic constitutional bubble.
I never would have thought that a president could get away with the things that Obama has...over, and over and over and over again. I always just assumed that such behavior would be stopped in it's tracks...by
somebody. I was wrong.
Obama himself said it best..."Elections have consequences, and I won".
He said it while thumbing his nose on the republicans, but he was talking to all of us.

Once again I ask, where are the pubs jumping on Obama for this crap? If I am not mistaken the administration has the management responsibility to determine where the cuts are made in the majority of the cases concerning the sequester. Of course this crowd has no management experience. Obama is just punishing folks, just like with the WH tours.
History will not be kind to Obama...

We are about a year from midterm elections, and the GOP is completely out to lunch.
I can only pray for primaries and tea party candidates. Holding my nose and voting for the usual bunch, is getting really old.
Attaboy Hussein, you make sure the Syrians get a few billion to help their Al Q'eda Buddies, send more tanks and Planes to Egypt and throw a few billion at Africa and Haitian Bureacrats to hire hundreds of their relatives to "manage" an aid program.
Screw over the guys who made it all possible.
So why is he still in office and why is nearly half of our country applauding his every move?
Look to decaying Rome, post WW1 Germany, early Castro-Che Cuba, etc......for your historical explanations.
A sad confluence of selfish, corrupted, myopic / asleep, lazy, and covetous groups of people. Who will not bother to care about any crime or outrage if they can be convinced that they are about to get their way.
They gladly accepted the Nazi atrocities, Nero's outrages, and Castro's destruction / Che's literal insanity.......and 50-60% of America has become those people. I'm convinced that Obama could now dispatch the military to wipe out some folks that he sees as problematic, and he would easily get away with it. Hell, that's Benghazi basically (NOT dispatching the military, to get rid of some folks, letting his MB-AQ pals do the dirty work).

They don't. Half the country doesn't associate his policies with him. It's odd but it's true. That is why his polices are unpopular but her still is personally...
But he's still getting away with damn near 100% of atrocities / crimes. That's the problem, not that they still like his cute smile and sweet voice.

I don't think we're going to see Obama's approval numbers drop much lower than the percentage of people that are dependent on government. Take them out of the loop, and his approval is zero.

Are you including government employees?
I did a job about 4 years ago for a couple that had both retired from the post office, and their living room mantle over the fireplace was an Obama shrine. It about made me choke. :scared:
Government dole in this context means those that take but do not have any skin in the game.
Someone in the US Military is an employee of the US Government and they definitely have skin in the game. Many other government employees have skin in the game also.

In the People's Republic of Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan is absolutely in thrall to federal dollars. It's the
academic dole. They have countless reasons why they could
do so much more if Uncle Sugar only paid for more R&D (or any other job affecting themselves or someone they know).
Then there's the contractors---companies supplying goods and services to our military. They'll feed you, mow your lawns, guard your gates, cut your hair---you name it. I'm not expert on researching totals but I'd guess it's at least 100,000 people and very likely more. You bet they just love Uncle Sugar, especially when some dweeb Congresscriminal decides our military
JUST HAS to get new uniforms (or guns, or tanks, vehicles, planes). Jobs back in the home district. Sequestration here doesn't count, not if that same crook wants to get reelected.
All who provide services for the USG and get paid for doing same are not necessarily in the 47% that supposedly do nothing. My interpretaion of the 47% is they pay no taxes and are on the receiving end of most of the government handouts.
To say one is getting a free ride for getting paid for what he does is wrong. For instance, it's impossible for the US Military to develop advanced weaponry like the F-22 or the B-2. The military industrial complex does that.
BTW, just because one makes his/her living by working directly or indirectly for the USG does not make them a democrat.

My point was about public sector union workers. Maybe they aren't democrats at heart, but they will always vote for the people that promise them more money/benefits. Typically democrats.

Whole heartedly agree.
