Post by: walkstall on April 23, 2012, 01:23:44 PM
Hmm...One can only hope b o will be slapped down on this one also.  If this and o b care is put down it will not help him in Nov.

WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court will referee another major clash between the Obama administration and the states, this one over Arizona's crackdown on illegal immigrants. The case could add fuel to the partisan split over tough state immigration laws backed by Republicans but challenged by the administration.

Like last month's arguments over President Barack Obama's health care overhaul, the immigration case is expected to be decided at the end of June.

Wednesday's arguments will focus on whether states can adopt their own immigration measures to deal with an estimated 11 million illegal immigrants, or whether the federal government has almost exclusive authority in the area of immigration.

That news snip is hilariously retarded.  Wow, Arizona is enforcing federal law ...they're clearly vigilantes taking matters into their own hands and defying the federal government!  Someone stop them before they go craaaaaaaaaazy!!

If the Federal Government was doing it's job concerning illegal immigration, then States like AZ wouldn't have to pass laws on this issue.

Yet cities are allowed to establish "Sanctuary ZOnes" in defiance of federal law.

ANy sanctuary city that does not comply with federal Immigration laws should not be eligible to receive federal funds.

If this law is upheld, Obama will just issue an executive order to make it null & void and that will be that.  He's a king on a throne and no one seems inclined to stop him.  I'd really like to know why...

The dems are trying to game the system...if this law is struck down they'll craft a new one to tweak it and try again.
