Five Carson Staffers Quit 'Overnight,' Endorse Ted Cruz
by ALEX SWOYER
Carl Cameron of Fox News Channel reported earlier today from New Hampshire that defections from the Ben Carson campaign have aligned themselves with Texas Senator Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX)

Hopefully when the Bush exodus starts, the same thing will happen.

This was the story I thought I was posting yesterday, and somehow the article linked to the old story, which I didn't check to see if it was the same one I had just read.
Thanks for posting Tac, now I know I wasn't going nuts after all.

Micropolitics aside, it's the
'overnight' part on election-eve that's disgraceful. When you give your word to somebody, you stand by it. Otherwise you're nothing. That's a quote from
The Wild Bunch.Though the retort may figure-in... " It's not your
word. It's
who you give it
to. "

But will she believe it?
Those staffers behaved in a disgraceful way. If you want to leave the Carson campaign, don't do it the day before the election and then go to the media to badmouth the person who you were working for on the eve of the election. It shows disrespect and a lack of loyalty. They should have waited until after the results were in and then left quietly.
They think Cruz is probably going to give them a job now, but if I was Cruz, I wouldn't touch people who demonstrated so little integrity and loyalty with a 10 foot poll.
Not very classy. Cruz doesn't need them nor should he trust them.

You guys are missing the mark somewhat. Given that these are staffers of a superpac, Cruz has almost nothing to do with it. He couldn't tell his superpac to hire them or not hire them even if he wanted to, nor could anyone on his staff. This whole story is trivial. All it really tells us is that, reading between the lines, Carson will drop out sooner rather than later.
Dr. Carson simply put, isn't cut out for politics. Yeah he's a decent enough guy as folks go.
And he's a damn good surgeon from what I hear too.
But the man's simply not got what it takes to be potus.

Yes, I agree Carson is not a good candidate, but it still not very clever, loyal, or classy on the part of those staffers.
This a media driven filler story. These people were not Carson staffers. They worked for a super PAC that was supporting Carson. Below is an excerpt from the original link that began this thread:
"According to WMUR, the move within the super PAC doesn't affect Carson's campaign operation in the Granite State."

I never said Cruz had anything to do with it.

I agree they're like rats running to get off a sinking ship.
This is nothing new. Its been happening since Moses was a teenager.

Agree. I'll add, Carson was still evolving, leaving alot of questions - 'Just who are you, Ben?'
If I had to list 5 political positions in which Carson was SOLID....
...still trying to think of one that Ben Carson has made the cornerstone of his candidacy - nothing comes to mind.... Sorry.

That pretty much nails Carson's biggest problem, he hasn't an issue for people to coalesce around.

They certainly did. This also reflects poorly on all of Ben's staff, sadly.
