The polls open in less than 7 hours across the east coast of America, and people head to their precincts to cast their votes. Update the thread throughout the day and track the votes as they start to come in.
In the all important state of Ohio, Rasmussen has it tied, though Romney internal polls say he is up by 1%. Either way, Ohio will come down to turnout. If Republicans are energized and turn in big numbers, we will win, and if not then Barry gets another 4 years. Virginia is also down to the wire, though I think Romney will take it.
Wisconsin is tied, and Romney's internal polls show Pennsylvania is tied. Again, it's all about turnout. Go out and vote.
First two polls opened in New Hampshire at midnight. It's on...
I voted early, but since I am from Millinocket, Maine, not from Chicago...I'll only be voting once! Can't wait to follow the new President's path to victory on The Blaze, Fox, and here! Anywhere else and my brain will blow up! Enjoy the show...Freedom is EXCITING to watch!!! And, I still have faith in Americans to fix thier mistakes better than any other people on Earth.
I waive a happy goodbye to Jimmy Carter's second term...Bye-bye, now! :ttoung:  :ttoung:
fix "their" mistakes........see? We fix 'em up quick! lol
Polling stations in Tampa, FL are packed. My local one was pretty busy, and if yard signs are a good indicator, at least 70% are going for Romney.
It's also raining here and throughout the state, so that could affect things.

In parts of my state it rains 300 days out of the year. No big effect for us.
My brother in Florida is standing in line right now,,,he says it will be about an hour before he gets to vote. Me I will go after I work out,,, its right at the time where people are taking their kids to school......
Meanwhile Obama is in Chicago right now......hopefully my wish will come true. He may be seeing his house is getting ready to move back into...... well after his basketball game

The fact that Obama feels the need to be campaigning in his home town says a lot.
I watched a little Today show on NBC this morning. They still think Obama has it.

I see it this way, your wife lied, cheated, stole your money and ate your dog, the divorce will be finalized today.
She calls you on the phone asking to be bailed out, you pause for a moment and ponder the moment, then look outside and see it's raining.
That's it, the moment you get lucid and realize you aren't responsible for her behavior, and in fact, realize you actually hate her and realize how her every move was a complete lie and how she put you in debt.
Bitch........, kiss my ass, you burned me! CLICK...

After reading Valerie Jarrett's threats, in another 4 years, that wouldn't be possible. Now we just have to trust the American People to get it right this time and pray that the idiots aren't motivated this time.
Nate Silver has Obama's chances of reelection above 90% now.

Exactly CL!
These people were promised the world by a con-artist, even though they fell in love, they've also gotten nothing from the relationship but an empty wallet with promises that the next four years will somehow be different.
No one is that gullible unless they like seeing their friends abused and want it to continue.

The really sad thing is, Nate will explain away his failure, the left will happily swallow it, they'll forget 4 years later, and tout his claims all over again, as if he was never wrong.
The Dim party plays on this flaw, they know quite well their supporters are stupid and have short memories.

Massive new taxes.
$20+ trillion in debt, 4 years from now.
A massive shift to part time employment, due to Obamacare.
A steady march to socialism, which will be implemented by executive order.
The single largest economic crash in US history. That's just for starters.

Don't get your hopes up: sadly, Obama seems to be more of a left leaning centrist as of now. Hopefully, he'll change this after reelection is no longer an issue. But at no point can or will he "go socialist".
But I'll love to throw this in your face when Obama does not do anything by executive order as his term comes to an end. Oops!

Schools everywhere turning out career students
No jobs because the mexicans will get whatever is available and i've already heard one report from Community College in my town that students that are already graduated can't pass the criteria of tests given to run the jobs available so they'll have to start over which is tantamount to career students.

Ohio Data: Turnout Up In Red Counties; Down In Blue
Below is some information from a GOP source; actual data. It doesn't tell us everything but it does tell us something.
I am watching the Twitternets where I follow even more left-wing media types than my fellow Righties. If there's actual data showing Obama counties experience some kind of turnout surge, I haven't seen it, but I will report it if I do.
Quick update – turnout is up in GOP Geauga County, Ohio where McCain won with 57% of the vote and down in Athens County, the home of Ohio University and where Obama won with 67% in 2008. Early vote in Geauga? 125% of 2008. Athens? Down 10% from 2008.
SHOT: GOP county turnout up
Plain Dealer: Geauga election chief predicts 80 percent voter turnout today
Geauga County early vote was 125% more than 2008 early vote
McCain won Geauga County with 57% and Bush got 60% in '04
CHASER: Dem county turnout down
WOUB: Athens County Election Officials: Morning Voter Turn Out Low
Athens County early vote was 10% less than 2008 early vote
Obama won Athens County with 67%
ADDED from a GOP source:
Butler County (outside Cincinnati) where McCain won with 61% and Bush with 66%. Early voting was also good for Romney at 121% of 2008.
· Early voting was 121% of 2008
· McCain got 61 percent, Bush 66%

Just to note, my prediction isn't very colored by my support for Obama. Indeed, I have a tendency to throw all reasonable odds against my desired outcome to see how certain I can be of it. I predicted that Bush would win in '04. I feared that the Republicans would take the House in '10.
If Obama wins (which he probably will), you all are going to suffer the biggest self-inflicted fit of Epic Failure in your board's history.

CNN just called New Hampshire for Obama.
Not looking good for Romney in Florida. Most of his red counties have already been counted, but many of the blue counties still have many pending votes.
We are taking a beating in the Senate. Harry Reid will keep his job as chief mortician.

BREAKING NEWS
CNN PROJECTION: OBAMA WINS REELECTION.
edit: damn, ninja'd.
Lesssee now, dems have the senate and pubs still have the house. If obama does win we will still have gridlock and more of those executive decisions for at least the next two years. Well gosh, people, how's that for dividing the country even further? Well, at least we might be rid of Nancy "deer looking into the headlights" Pelosi. I hear we gained a couple of leaners though. Don't tell me let me guess, whoever greases the palms of this couple the best can be assured of their support on issues. Isn't that what the lick is? Could be interesting if you like graft.

Karl Rove is challenging the early call of Ohio for Obama. He makes a great case.
Praying for a miracle!
Get over it. Karl Rove needs to shut up and accept it. He is looking like a fool.
Florida will go for Obama, so will Virginia and Colorado. So even if something happened in Ohio, Obama wins. We don't have to like it, but accept it.
Agreed!
Rove and his "middle of the road" strategy is (IMHO) what cost us this election!
