Cool! Yes, actually a lot of Dutch last names still include either 'de' or 'van' or 'van de'. Pretty common here.

This is a failing of outsiders attempting to understand American politics.
Neither party represents the interests of it's constituency.
The GOP today, would have been considered left of the 1960 Dim party, while today's Dim party is left of UK's Fabian labor party.

TEA represents the majority of what consists of the Republican base, while the leadership pushes a leftist agenda that even Dims marvel at.
Point is, your questionnaire doesn't really represent political reality in the US.

I see, if you are using qualitative method then I suggest asking more in depth questions here to the different topics to get more substantial and informative answers, as a European myself this site has provided me with better perspective on American conservatism.

I actually just travelled from Amsterdam to the US today so I will do some qualitative research as in interviews here for 2 weeks!

Do yourself a BIIIGGGGG Favor and stay away from the large cities, go out into the countryside and seek out the small towns off the beaten path....you will find the REAL America....and you will be perfectly safe.

Currently planning on visiting Virginia Beach. Supposed to be one of the most conservative places according to academic research done in 2015.
