Nope.

Well, maybe at some point in the primaries, if it's clear that he can't win, he'll drop out obviously. But that's way down the road.

Trump wouldn't mention it if he didn't have a solid source. It could be viewed as election interference other wise.
Besides, Ron was toast the moment he chose to challenge the one guy who bailed his ass out.

Trump has a hardcore group of supports, but that's it and he won't be gaining any meaningful number of new supporters going forward.

Don't look like DeSantis is picking up any new supporters either. Damn shame, he didn't have that many to start with.     Trump has enough to win this thing.  Have you noticed DeSantis is slipping into third place?

Vivek has no chance.  That's why Trump and the media aren't attacking him. He's irrelevant.  However, Trump and the liberal media is ALL OVER DeSantis, because DeSantis is the real threat.

Looks like guessing again. Here's a fact for you, since Trump announced he was running for president in the 2016 election, the democrats, the media, the FBI, the rino's have all been telling lies about him. We have seen everything they could throw at him, AND HE WON. Biden, the democrats, with the rino's blessing had to cheat, had to illegally change the rules on voting to get Biden elected. Now we see not only are the they same group still lying about Trump, they are using crocked D.A.'s to file bogus charges. We are seeing liberal judges taking away Trump's ability to hit the campaign trail, we are seeing the damn liberals throw everything they have at Trump, AND HE IS STILL GOING TO WIN THE REPUBLICAN NOMINEE!!!!!!  THAT IS WHAT YOU CALL A THREAT TO THE DEMOCRATS!!!!!!!!!

And your telling us the media had not been very nice to DeSantis?????????????  WAKE THE HELL UP! DeSantis is crying because nobody is buying into his bull shit. DeSantis can not be a threat until PEOPLE ARE ACTUALLY VOTING FOR HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn, where do you come up with this crap?

Yes, there's a very good chance he'll win the Republican nomination.  There's also a very, very good chance he'll lose the general because all he's done since 2016 is lose and his hand-picked candidates have also consistently lost.

Then why did Trump receive MORE votes in 2020 than 2016? That doesn't tell me he was less popular. Why do liberal polls show Trump beating Biden? Why are Trump's poll numbers going UP even with the indictments. If DeSantis can not even gain voters now in the primaries, what makes you think he will in the general? What part of Biden DO YOU think the American people will want four more years of????????

Try to follow along, you claimed the indictments were hurting Trump, someone should benefit in the polls from that if it is true. Should be DeSantis, but it is not showing up in the polls. Stands to reason, Trump is not losing support from the phony indictments.

That's not true. My view of Trump is completely independent of my view of anyone else on the planet. My view of Trump can go up and down on any given day, and in absolutely no way does that impact my view of any other candidates or any other person.

Yet he is, had you bothered to look at the stats from RCP.
If DeSantis is toast, and Biteme is plummeting in the polls, where does that support go, when one considers the future of our once great Nation?

This is no longer a left/right issue fool, this is the future of our Nation. Whether we retain a Republic, or fall into a communist shithole.

It's odd, everyone else can see it, yet you blindly wade through the shit and pretend it doesn't smell all that bad.
Why are you so much in fuckin denial?

Not everyone shares your views.  By one person's estimation, only about 26% of the country does.

The Right Wing
26 percent of Republicans
Examples: Ted Cruz, the Freedom Caucus and Newt Gingrich

This group of Fox News, Newsmax and talk radio fans needs no introduction. It is relatively old and working class. It's convinced that the nation is on the brink of catastrophe. And it's deeply loyal to Mr. Trump.

Three-quarters of this group identify as "very conservative"; no more than a quarter of another group does so. Not surprisingly, it's likeliest to say compromise is just "selling out." Virtually none believe Mr. Trump — who was recently indicted for the fourth time — has committed serious federal crimes.

If it feels as if this group dominates the Republican Party beyond its numbers, that's because it does. This is the most highly engaged group of Republicans, routinely making it a kingmaker in Republican primaries. Overall, the Right Wing represents over a third of the Republican primary electorate, even though it's about a quarter of Republican-leaning registered voters.

There aren't many fissures within this group of MAGA hat owners and Trump flag fliers, at least not on the questions we asked in this survey. In the scheme of the Republican Party today, their differences don't loom especially large.

But in the past, the Right Wing has been quite divided. It most likely split between Mr. Trump and Mr. Cruz eight years ago. Earlier this year, many in this group probably entertained supporting Mr. DeSantis as well.

Whatever their reservations were about Mr. Trump in the past, they seem to have largely coalesced behind him today. That's bad news for Mr. DeSantis, who might count himself as a member of this group.

Trump Raised $7.1 Million After Mugshot

Now, Politico reports that as of Saturday, Trump has raised $7.1 million since the mugshot - with $4.18 of it coming in on Friday, the single-highest 24-hour period of his campaign to date, according to a person familiar with the totals.

The campaign's fundraising has been powered by merchandise it has been selling through his online store. After Trump was taken into custody, the campaign began selling shirts, posters, bumper stickers and beverage coolers bearing Trump's scowling mugshot. The items bear the tagline "NEVER SURRENDER!" and range in price from $12 to $34.

The campaign has also been prodding online donors with emails and text messages. And on Thursday night, while flying back from Atlanta to Bedminster, N.J. Trump sent out his first tweet in more than two years directing supporters to his website. The site's landing page includes the mugshot and asks supporters to "make a contribution to evict Crooked Joe Biden from the White House and SAVE AMERICA during this dark chapter in our nation's history."

The fundraising blitz illustrates how Trump has parlayed his four indictments into campaign cash, rallying his hardcore supporters.

Trump's campaign says it has raised nearly $20 million in the last three weeks, during which time Trump was indicted on charges related to his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and for trying to overturn the Georgia vote count in the 2020 election. That figure is more than half of what Trump raised during his first seven months in the 2024 race.

"It's a bunch of bullshit," indeed...

When he decides he is ruining his chances for 2024, he will be out of it. Until then, he can set the stage for things to come. Dropping down to third is not helping.  By now, even DeSantis should know Trump is polling at 60% and his chances for this election are over.

When do you expect him to drop out?

DeSantis' team seems to be pretty happy about this closure and have been warning people about the 'Ron to the Rescue' pac since last year but, I mean, y'all should definitely trust the opinion of one of Trump's senior advisors about Ron's future prospects

DeSantis team has a warning about 'Ron to the Rescue' PAC as 2024 speculation intensifies

By Kyle Morris | Published November 19, 2022 | Ron DeSantis | FOX News

TAMPA, Fla. - Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis' team has a clarification about a super PAC boosting him as a candidate in the 2024 presidential race and the future of the Republican Party.

In a letter sent Friday to DeSantis' donors, Benjamin Gibson, legal counsel for DeSantis, said he had "recently learned through media reports that a super PAC apparently named 'Ron to the Rescue' ('PAC') is being formed reportedly 'in order to boost a potential 2024 presidential run from Governor Ron DeSantis.' This is similar to other 'pro-DeSantis' PACs that have formed and continue to use Ron DeSantis' name and likeness to raise funds without his permission or authorization."
|
"Whether well-intentioned or not, the organizers of these PACs have not been in contact with DeSantis leadership and such efforts may create confusion amongst supporters of the Governor and his policies," Gibson wrote.

.......................

"It is important to make clear to supporters that Governor DeSantis and his team are not affiliated with the 'Ron to the Rescue' PAC, have not authorized it to conduct any activity on their behalf, and contributions made to the 'Ron to the Rescue' PAC will not benefit Governor DeSantis or his agenda," Gibson said.

DeSantis-aligned super PAC asked for $50 million from donors on day of first GOP primary debate, leaked audio shows

QuoteNever Back Down – initially funded in large part by $82.5 million transferred from DeSantis' state political committee

QuoteThe pitch appeared structured to convince donors the super PAC had a plan for their dollars if they would open up their pocketbooks. A fundraising goal of $50 million by the end of the year would exceed the $47 million the super PAC raised on its own between its March launch and the end of June. Almost half of that money came from one source, Nevada businessman and space entrepreneur Robert Bigelow, who recently told Reuters he intended to refrain from further contributions until DeSantis could demonstrate he's "able to generate more on his own."

Ok, let's hear from Zen how well DeSantis is doing. Is he climbing up the polls? Is he crowding Trump for the top spot? Is he leaving the crowd behind in the race?

Nationally, his numbers aren't great right now.  Compared to Trump, nobody is close.  In Iowa, he's polling within about 20% of Trump.  Not great, but better than his national numbers.

I changed my registered party from Independent to Republican specifically to vote for a Republican that's running against Trump.

Why didn't you switch to the democrat party to vote for Biden? Waiting for the general election? maybe that's a crappy question to ask, but you're the one who stated he wants to vote against Trump, not vote for anyone.

when I started paying close attention to politics, it became clear that Republicans were no more concerned about the debt than Democrats. At that point I change my party to Independent because I didn't want to be associated with either party, both of which had significant issues outside of spending. Trump versus Hillary was the worst election I've ever witnessed personally. Trump versus Biden in 2020 was a close second.  What has happened since the 2020 election has put us on the path to the two worst options in the history of the county.  In the hopes of having one option to vote for, And since the Democrats have no good options even if Biden doesn't run, I am going to vote for whoever has the best chance to beat Trump in the primaries.

As far as I am concerned this isn't about Trump.  It's about integrity in the judicial system, the FBI and CIA and freedom of speech.  If we allow these evil characters to disqualify anyone and manipulate our elections, and use the judicial system against their political enemies, then we have no hope for the future.  I haven't heard any of these candidates stand up for the J6 prisoners or against the Trump indictments.  They are willing to sell their souls for power.

Because he believes in freedom and the constitution and has stood up for Trump several times.  He also speaks better than DeSantis.  I was surprised with DeSantis's background that he doesn't speak better.  He just doesn't inspire.  When questioned about the Trump indictments his response was:"We will just have to wait and see".  He would not recognize the corruption going on.  He lost me right there.  If you are willing to ride the back of this corruption for your own political gain,I won't waste my gas driving to the polls for you.
