Department of Agriculture: Do NOT Deny Syrian Refugees Food Stamp Benefits
by JEROME HUDSON
The Obama Department of Agriculture sent a letter to Georgia's social services agency Wednesday, warning that if the state refuses to grant food stamp benefits to Syrian refugees, it would be doing so in direct violation of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008.
"As long as an applicant submits a SNAP application that includes the applicant's name, address, and signature, the state agency must accept and process the application to be in compliance with federal law," Jessica Shahin of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program wrote to officials in Georgia.

That same law requires legal status within the United States. Apparently the Obama White House missed that little part of the law.

Do the humanist progressive EVER pay attention to law that does not directly support their agenda?

Yeah good point about the lack of the rule of law in the United States these days. But wouldn't it be grand to see a State challenge the President on this? Clearly the law, is on the side of the States there. It doesn't matter what Federal program it is. Whether it be HUD, Food Stamps, Social security. The recipient has to be a legal resident, or Citizen. Illegal invader status doesn't apply as a valid residency status. But then again Zew, after the Obamacare ruling, God only knows what contortions this court would pull, to rule for Obama.
