Quote"President Obama's Attorney General nominee deserves fair and full consideration of the United States Senate, which is precisely why she should not be confirmed in the lame duck session of Congress by senators who just lost their seats and are no longer accountable to the voters," Cruz and Lee said in a joint statement. "The Attorney General is the President's chief law enforcement officer. As such, the nominee must demonstrate full and complete commitment to the law. Loretta Lynch deserves the opportunity to demonstrate those qualities, beginning with a statement whether or not she believes the President's executive amnesty plans are constitutional and legal."

For a Republican, they will have to debate against this stuff if they stray. Otherwise, the conservatives will have support.

Bingo! We're taking the reigns and running the horse to lead the pack, the RINO will have no other option but to get "BEHIND" them.

Liberty and common sense spread easy. It's an uphill fight for the RINOs.

Not so funny: this confirmation will go through what's left of Hairy Weed's Senate like shit through a goose. There's not much controversy in her past, and she's already been confirmed once as the Kenyan's nominee for a federal judgeship in 2010.

Then why is she not in that office? She was cleared by the senate in 2010? Her nomination must have been pulled for some reason!

Try a little harder. I said she was nominated and confirmed for a FEDERAL JUDGESHIP in 2010; she has been serving as a FEDERAL JUDGE since May 2010. She is now being appointed to replace Eric Holder as US ATTORNEY GENERAL.

QuoteLoretta Elizabeth Lynch[1] (born May 21, 1959) is the current United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York. She has served her current tenure as U.S. Attorney since 2010, having previously held the position from 1999-2001. As U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, Lynch oversees federal prosecutions in Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island and Long Island. On November 8, 2014, President Barack Obama nominated her to succeed Eric Holder as the next Attorney General of the United States.[2]

Okay, kinda my bad. She is, as your own source clearly states, a United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, and not a federal judge. But she is not an Attorney General, and has never been an Attorney General in any jurisdiction. For the record, there is no such thing as a "US Attorney General for New York."

OK I fixed it! But to my knowledge she hasn't gone through conformation hearings so it will be hard for them to bum rush the process and if they try all hell will break loose!

It won't pave the way to Holder's proscecution but anything she says to feather her own nest might very well prove helpful in some future proceding..as the worm tuns...so to speak.
Remember, Nixon's AG Mitchell was tried and found guilty and only escaped prison by suffering a fatal heat attack. Mitchell hoped for a pardon from Nixon..but Nixon was forced to resign. Holder imagines Obama will shield him, as well.

That's a given. However, there are plenty of things a Republican controlled Congress can do to both hold her feet to the fire and to hold Holder accountable for his actions during his tenure as A.G..

They only have until Christmas recess to get approval from the judiciary committee and a vote on the senate floor with republicans blocking with every procedural trick they know. If Harry Reid pushes this through under his revised filibuster rules there will be a snowballs chance in hell that the republican would ever consider giving the minority party any rights in the next senate.
I think this will go into the next senate!!

You may be correct!
There is obviously a pragmatic reason Obama nominated a black female for the position...
Dems can play both the Race Card and the War on Women card if they don't rubber stamp her nomination.

It didn't work during the election and I'm not sure it would work now!
Here's a thought Holder says he will stay on until his successor is confirmed. Why not stall her conformation and start impeachment proceedings against him at the same time? Now that could be fun!!

Holder doesn't have the democrat support Obama has (and his is slipping) There may be enough democrat senators that would love to nail Holder to send a message to Obama. There are plenty of grounds to start those proceedings and it would send a message to every other dept. head in these out of control agencies!

The Dems LOST big time. Who cares if they play the race card and the war on women ... obviously the majority isn't buying that b.s. anymore. B.O. may feel he can still use that crap, but we should all know by now that he is still full of himself and quite delusional. You would think that an overwhelming majority of people voting against his policies and members of his own party distancing themselves from him would have knocked him down a peg or two.

Knocked him down? He's much too delusional for that and would never admit failure of any kind. I'm in agreement with you in the fact that playing the race card is too old by now and the war on women has proven to be unuseful tools, no longer a positive venture for the dems. The voice of America has spoken. Washington was broken and desperately needs fixing. We are on our way to mending our party and building the people's confidence members to do what towards the ability of our party to govern. Conservative and TEA input have done for the Rep party what it couldn't have done on it's own. Obola may as well get on with the business of actually doing what the electorate voted him to do-anyway what he vowed he would do.
That's never going to happen Obama will do Amnesty on his own. I can't see Boehner and McConnell being that stupid.

Hell, I even missed my own point. :tounge: She was nominated and confirmed for a US Attorney seat, not a judgeship. And she was confirmed by what was called at the time a unanimous voice vote in the Senate.
Hard to see how a whole bunch of Republicans still serving in the Senate four years later are gonna make a lot of waves because the exact same woman is being offered as the new US AG.

I read where outgoing AG, Holder, endorsed Lynch as follows:
Quote
"Loretta Lynch is an extraordinarily talented attorney, a dedicated public servant, and a leader of considerable experience and consummate skill," he said.
What he didn't add was "... All the things my boss is not.."

Conformation to a US atty. is not the same as the Atty. general. Much higher office with a lot more power. this promotion in positions will require a higher level of venting!
