When the MSM are pretty much homogeneous in their views on a topic, telling the truth is as much speaking the truth to will ful ignorance as it is speaking the truth to power. MSM "news" folks' brains are stuck in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, when they had something close to an information monopoly. Rush probably didn't punch the first hole in their dam, but he opened a big breach, and paved the way for a whole lot more breachers of the MSM's dam.
Of course the only person who saw it was Hayley Nagelberg.

It's also why conservative media gets marginalized so badly. Liberals of that era have taken over a lot of our social organizations, i.e. public schools and college campuses. Their graduates today have been
taught brainwashed into their liberal way of thinking, especially in journalism, and how to manipulate news to fit their agenda.
Gone are the days of the independent reporter.
