One Southern California city's test run of the Proterra electric buses touted by the Biden administration has backfired.
These buses were the "future of mass transportation," according to Biden officials, so we can only ask: Is this the future we want?
According to the Washington Free Beacon, the Foothill Transit agency, which serves valley areas outside of Los Angeles, reported that not only are the buses' transmission failures too expensive to repair, but the buses themselves have also melted in the sweltering California heat and one even caught fire in a "thermal event" in January.

First off, battery technology is terrible. Batteries take less and less charge as they age. The same amount of time is needed for recharging but, the batteries hold less and less.
Secondly, the batteries are recharged with FOSSIL FUELS so it's anyone's guess as to what it is really saving if anything.
Thirdly, while it may SEEM cheaper, it's really not. Life expectancy is not very good and replacing batteries is very expensive.
The fourth and last reason is that batteries are SUPPOSED to be recycled but, the reality is many/most are not. The environmental impact of all of the acids and chemicals draining into the ground and ground water is horrendous.
If they stop selling fossil fuel cars then I'll either buy used as I've done in the past or I'll simply save my money and walk or ride my bike.
Just as a side note, I went to several of the home improvement stores. They are mostly selling battery powered tools. I didn't purchase any and won't. If that's what they want to sell, so be it, I'll use my money elsewhere. By the way, everything they had was made in Communist China.

I heard the USA has already reduced it's emissions by 30% bringing us down to 1950 levels. Meanwhile China has upped their emissions by 70% making them by far the planets biggest polluter. How come the Greta Thunberg's of the world never go after the CCP, I think we all know the answer.
