They killed the bill.  Sorry Vinny.

Nope, as we type Boehner and McCarthy are buying votes.

Betting here is that whatever emerges will be all
enforcement and little, bucks for the chillun!

Uh, hasn't the Senate already closed the session and left?
What is this besides an empty gesture?

"In the absence of legislation, Republicans urged President Obama to act on his own to secure the borders and safely deport illegal immigrant children."

This man does not need to be encouraged to bypass congress and act on his own. Especially the same week Boner votes to sue him for bypassing congress. Talk about mixed signals from the RINO party.

Doesn't matter either way. Reid said (basically) any bill that doesn't give the Democrats everything they want would be dead on arrival in the Senate.

That's the Democrat's spirit of bipartisanship, don't ya know!

Nothing. It gives everybody a chance to say what they did for us folks. Obama took this opportunity to say he would veto anything the House passed. Pitiful. I can't wait until November. However, that lame duck period could be dangerous if what we think will happen actually happens.

I still think Obama just doesn't have the stones to go all in with martial law or something else to stop elections / stay in office.

But he and his little gaggle have really been froggy lately.  Especially with the "haha, double dare you to impeach".

That's so bizarre and outlandish that I am starting to wonder if they've decided to just go for it, and it's a steady ramp-up for the next year or so.

I agree, I think he wants out of office and can't wait till 2016, which would explain the sudden surge in attempting to destroy the country.
Besides, what could he do with both Houses under GOP control?
Nah, he wants out yesterday.

One of the compulsive refrains of Latin politicos is that
enforcement legislation rather than handouts, will
damage the GOP  w/Latin voters. Home truth is real simple.
Latin voters are about as relevant here as they are in
the country of their birth where the oligarchs who rule
then alternate between ignoring them and urinating on them.
The sole purpose of this legislation is to lay down a marker
for the rank and file middle class, on the issue of the day.

Why are we worrying about what the GOP passes when the President already said it won't pass the senate ans he would never sign it?

A winning issue botched by the GOP and they get nothing for it, and piss off the base in the process. What a bunch of ignorant  fools.

How is it a winning issue?

Simple. Polls show people want the border secure, period. Reps have managed to turn Obamas mess into an issue where the  idiots reps get the  blame.

Did you hear Rush today? He was in rare form! He KNOWS the Republican leadership is more concerned about the DONORS (who all want amnesty). VOTERS take a back seat to the donors. Their goal is to get amnesty while making the voters think they're fighting harder than ever to resist Obama. They're happy to let Obama lead on this.

Obama and the Democrats don't want the border secured and they control the Senate and the White House. The GOP has no power to do anything. Even if every Republican supported a bill that you thought of as perfect it wouldn't make a difference.
