I have said it before, but this guy's arrogance is unbelievable. We know he doesn't like the Constitution and his re-election has increased his level of self worth. He will continue to go as far as he possibly can with all kind of actions. The good news is that in my years on this planet this type of behavior eventually backfires. Let's hope it is sooner rather than later.

The esteemed Constitutional Law professor doesn't seem to understand the limitations of the Executive Branch of the federal government.

Obama executes the laws passed by Congress.  He doesn't make his own.

And, not a big one either. Just one or two little ones scattered across the country. Just enough to 1) justify use of the Military to put down these "insurrections" and in the process to 2) shift public opinion further against legal gun ownership, perhaps in preparation for a Constitutional Amendment which would either repeal the 2nd Amendment or rewrite it in such a way as to make it null and void.

He will have to rewrite a few others to "put down any revolt" and or confiscate guns.

Like the 4th, the 5th and the 8th...those the left wing holds most dear.

At least Sulla was competent. The problem with strong man rule is that it works just fine as long as you have a competent strongman. But for every Sulla, Julius Caesar, or Augustus; there's always a Caligula or Nero waiting just off stage.

Sorry, but he doesn't "have to" do anything, as long as John Roberts and Boehner give him cover.  He can ignore any part of the constitution, the will of the people, and the law....if he's only got these guys and Holder to worry about.

If nothing else, that should keep them from starting this crap too often.

If I were an anti-American, anti-Constitution Marxist dictator usurper getting ready to write an executive order on guns, I would simply make it illegal to have a gun instead of going door to door.  If an intruder breaks into your house and you shoot him in defense, you would go to jail for having a gun in the first place.

I see that as more realistic than going door to door.
