If there was nothing to this then why did the campaign admit that the story he told wasn't true?  Seems there is something to it and if in fact there is then he needs to go.

That puzzled me as well AM. I have a feeling this will do serious damage to his campaign.

This is why CNN had been doing the hit piece on his other, largely impossible to verify stories regarding temper and knife attacks, they knew this was coming and they used it to nail his ass to the tree, I watched Carson on FNC state directly into the camera that its up to the American people to decide if he is the pathological liar that CNN was portraying, then less then 24-hours later this story was broken, forcing his campaign to admit to an outright fabrication of what is rightly qualified as a central theme to his personal story!

That Dr Carson is democratic party controlled "gotcha journalism," and you walked right into its maw...

Of course it does! Any time a Republican says anything that can be challenged in any way, it's a "lie" according to the Left. Though it isn't as if he said he was from an entirely different country.

The problem with your links opinion is that the Carson campaign has already issued their recantation of the West Point story, such has been reported widely, including on FNC just an hour ago. If all is as reported and recanted, then Carson brazenly embellished the West Point story line, and worse, has been for years!

Such is precisely what Brian Williams was doing for NBC, lying about his personal history and experiences....

I could excuse an embellishment that went something like "General says he could get kid in on full scholarship" being interpreted as "Offered full scholarship"

But if this part is true...

Lets be honest, this was a racially motivated attack by the left.
Look at every Dim in their party, not one can hold a candle next to Carson, their lead candidate is a walking scandal, yet somehow we're supposed to hold Carson to a higher level.

I am in no way a Carson fan politically, but he's a good man regardless.
With that said, it's up to Carson to fight, and if he loses, that's OK too, that leaves a RINO, a chameleon and a Constitutional conservative, and we all know who is most qualified.
