If you haven't seen it yet, check out that Romney documentary on Netflix.  It made clear exactly what you said.  He even called Hussein a great debater and was worried about him.  Also, he could have slammed Crowly on her ass if he had the intellect or fight.  He really was weak, and those consultants just cleaned him out.

You know, I've been thinking about Mitt and how he considered getting in this race.  I bet he is now glad he did not.  He sees that Jeb is not going to be able to pull it off and he knows he would have done no better.  It would have been a waste of time and money!!!

So true and I had to plug my nose in order to vote.  Didn't like him at all.  Was his Dad a Democrat?  I'm going to look it up.

George Romney was an R, and ran for the R Presidential nomination in 1968 or 1976, IIRC.

On a strategic/tactical level (i.e. not policy) I think McCain in 2008 a worse choice than Romney in 2012. McCain had made himself infamous with a significant segment of the R base by his bill that attempted to silence their advocacy groups during election campaigns. The USSC later ruled it unconstitutional. Had he not chosen Sarah Palin for VP his landslide defeat would have been a horrible debacle.

Why Americans are so desperate to latch onto Trump. They couldn't come up with a candidate that represents people and every day life in America.  We aren't all politicians. We don' all fit in the upper American class. We work and don't collect welfare therefore aren't Democrat.  But we have to compete for our jobs with illegals and foreigners.  We get no break. I still earn close to the same wage that I made in 1996 and I have 30+ years of skilled work experience.  Yet I still have to compete with cheap labor and the meme that American's are lazy.  I could simply be disqualified for a job interview because my name is not the desired name.  Yet cost of living is perhaps double and I have a family to feed now.  We have Washington DC and Corporate America "Romney for instance" dictating our jobs away.  Giving Amnesty to illegals.  Creating special tax ID's so that Juan (illegal) can get a business loan and start an illegal business undercutting American contractors. Then we have to pay for education for their children.  We pay for incarceration, health, dental and cash assistance.  They drive brand new vehicles bought with their special tax id's.  We drive older vehicles because we can't afford new ones after supporting our extended illegal family.

Just a few short years ago we heard that Spanish illegals do the jobs American's don't want.  Picking fruit and vegetables.  Average Americans are all well aware that their job is up for sale in Washington D.C.  WE ARE FED UP!!!!!!!!
