As many of you know, I have been dealing with a grower next door to me for the last three years.
Until just recently, these grower were skirting the law by claiming Co Op, where a bunch of people get a doctors excuse to grow, so these people would use one parcel to grow thousands of plants, like my neighbor.
I've been in constant contact with the sheriff, and just recently the law clarified, one person, one grow per parcel, in other words, six plants only.
As I type, the sheriff is raiding my neighbor, he took off running for the canyon, left his car behind, which will be impounded, and all plants destroyed.
They were just about to harvest too.

I know you have a feeling of satisfaction and, possibly, some relief.
burn it, or spray it with Paraquat and let them gag on it.

This mean the pot heads in California price will go up?
With the effort he went to, he probably could have gone into something legal.

Damn! That definitely happened! I actually slept till six this morning, that's 8 hrs, I haven't slept 8 hours in years, at least not since they started growing.
Hell, I can actually remember shit now, do math in my head again.
And it's all because that shit has been pulled out by the roots.

Was this just your sheriff or was the DEA brought in?
Quote from: redbeard on October 09, 2020, 12:35:25 PM
Was this just your sheriff or was the DEA brought in?
It is a cooperative law enforcement operation by surrounding counties.
Back in early summer a deputy was killed at a grow, that set the community off and we started demanding convictions.
Our DA, for whatever reason refused to prosecute illegal grows. He claimed it was because the state wouldn't back him.(lie!!!)
We'll be removing him come November. Anyway, with several counties involved, he had little choice but to do as the public demanded, and the state feeling the pressure from NorCal, folded and rewrote the law, or rather further clarified the 6 plant per person rule and eliminated coop grows.
Now the law is clear, no more than 6 plants per grow, per parcel, be it a home or 12 thousand acres, you only get 6 plants and only one person on the parcel can claim the grow.
This just passed in July and went into effect last month, just in time to catch the harvest before it hit the mkt.
I may pick up his 10 acres so I don't have a neighbor, we'll see what happens, but expect to see land prices fall in the area, they more than quadrupled when people started growing.
What sucked, was realtors actually advertised parcels of land as perfect for marijuana grows, exacerbating the problem.
It was literally turning beautiful areas of forest into shit holes, people were leaving because of the stench, and their land was being transformed into weed plantations when they sold.
The people won!
Too funny!
Another neighbor is was growing, but the officer said it was probably too small of a grow, under 300 plants, and they have some huge grows to hit.
He said the only reason they hit next door was more of a favor to me, but they'd be back next year.
Well, that didn't help my other neighbors who are dealing with the other grow down the road, so I called him last night and warned him about the bust, and he might be next on the list.
So I lied... :rolleyes::lol:
Anyway, around noon an Enterprise rental truck, biggest you can rent, came screaming in and loaded up all the plants.
My Mexican neighbor saw them on the road, two black guys looking quite pale. Thing is, Black people don't live here, they don't like the isolation.
He also said he is hearing hourly warnings on Mexican stations that they're warning people the law changed and there's a campaign to eradicate all grows.
Most grows are tended by illegals, so ICE is involved as well.
So now the area is free of skunk stench, everyone is breathing easier. Expect to see this happening in other states.....

Odd perspective, but when you look at it, it is spot on, and add the political connection of coercion, money laundering, Demonrats.
Yes, it does have all the ingredients of a narco thriller.
I knew the minute the left started making weed a political football, they were looking at three things, money/taxes, power and control over an industry.
They convinced LIBertarians, the only way they'd get Liberty, is if they allow the left to tax it, in the process, made the Right to look evil for blocking some Millennial's right to get high.
All they had to do was make it a misdemeanor and be done.
So once again the left took an issue and made it political, problem is, the left were losing revenue to the drug cartels, enter one dead deputy and blood on the hands of Marxist Dims.
I can only assume the left sees this as a huge weight on their backs now. No one wants to live next to a hog farm, and that's about what this is like on a scale of putrid smells, and here in Norcal, virtually everyone was effected by it for years.
Add to that, city living with someone moron harvesting off his apartment deck effecting everyone within a quarter mile, then consider hundreds of people within the same block growing weed as well.
Then add in cartels growing tens of thousands of plants just outside of suburbs, blocks from schools.
Their media has buried the majority of stories, but when there's a murder, 80% of the time, it was tied to weed and a cartel.
The stress of the community and not getting resolve by city/county/state leaders, people tend to take matters into their own hands.
Everyone knows who is responsible for this mess, and Nov 3rd may reflect this anger.
Relax solar I was kidding

No, you're absolutely Right! This does play out like a movie plot, with a communist subplot, the DNC party.
This isn't just Mexican cartels, the CCP is involved at a deeper level.

You'll notice all future busts will be done by sheriff, not police. This is only the beginning, they're busting operations in my area right and left, 10 a day.
Years of dealing with this shit and it all stops this year!!!

Nah, just a greedy black guy with huge plans on cornering the mkt.
Boy, that went South.
As product goes, he was getting top dollar, he'd sell out the minute it hit the shelves, he had people paying ahead of time at the shops just to be certain they'd get his weed.
Including the parcel next door, he had 9 properties. Now all are vacant of weed.
