I am no fan of Jeb, but even this must be discussed. The writer is a lefty loon that opines in the Atlanta newspaper. Here is the quote from Jeb:

"Our message is one of hope and aspiration," Bush responded, according to The Washington Post. "It isn't one of division and get in line and we'll take care of you with free stuff. Our message is one that is uplifting — that says you can achieve earned success."

I believe most of us here do not disagree with Jeb and his statement. Now here is how Jay Bookman assesses the comment:

"Three points:

1.) I'm sorry. A message premised on the belief that black Americans vote according to who promises to "take care of you with free stuff" is not "uplifting", as Bush described it. Nor is it a message of hope and aspiration. It is ugly and deeply, deeply divisive.

2.) No candidate who has internalized and accepted that insulting mythology, and who casually endorses it in public, will win a significant portion of the black vote. Nor should he. Bush's attempt to explain how he would bring more black faces to an event like that instead serves as a vivid demonstration of why so few if any were there in the first place.

3.) In his remarks, Bush showed a clear disdain for trying to buy votes with "free stuff," a stance that might be admirable if it were consistent. Instead, that disdain disappears when the intended beneficiary changes."

This is so typical of liberals. They disrespect the Black community by believing the community must be given stuff to survive. Where are Sharpton and Jackson to speak up for the abilty of Black people to succedd without democrat handouts?

And yet that is precisely why many in the Black community voted for Obama. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P36x8rTb3jI

I am not a fan of Jeb Bush either. In my view this Republic needs another Bush in the Oval to continue on the Bush dynasty, like we all need a bad rash in a hard to reach spot. But that said, the truth is THE TRUTH.

Lets look at the last election, what did we see? We saw black Americans doing precisely that. Casting vote's for a man, because they thought he's going to take someone else's money and pay all of their bills for them. The list of the video's demonstrating that FACT on youtube alone, is quite extensive. The truth is not racism libtards, no matter how badly it might hurt your political ideology/movement.
One of every five Americans you meet has a mental illness of some sort. Many, many, of our veteran's suffer from mental illness like PTSD now also. Help if ya can. :) http://www.projectsemicolon.org/share-your-story.html

It's not just welfare rats, there were lots of folks who are employed who thought the same thing. For example I know personally one person, who is an African Immigrant to the U.S. who voted for Obama for the very same reason. She at the time, said she was voting for him because she thought he was going to take the money from the mythological "rich" in this nation, and give it to her to pay off her house mortgage.

I think it will be interesting to see how much of that community votes for Carson, who isn't out there preaching handouts for everyone but American citizens, as Obama has done.
