Why is everyone pissed at Brian Williams?

I take great delight in Williams' being the target of abstract public-spittle... particularly because of those smug obamacare interviews, back when it was being jammed down our throats.  I hope that pimpified elitist gets kicked-out into the gravel.

I believe people are pissed at Brian Williams because I think there is a growing resentment towards the mainstream media establishment.

Does anyone even watch the nightly news on the major networks anymore? I think people are revelling in this because they consider that profession of the mainstream news anchor as being rather pretentious and not deserving of the notoriety it still (somehow) holds on to.

Williams sat in for Rush?

Must have been many, many years ago.

I know that Chris Matthews (the commentator, not the football player) sat in for Rush (in the Early 2000s IIRC) I actually heard that show - it wasn't too bad either. He opened the show with a comment about knowing how Daniel felt in the lions den!

It was before his "spittle spewing days".

But I don't remember Williams ever sitting in for Rush.

I listened to Rush recently when he admitted that Brian sat in for him.  Even heard Rush say that he liked the guy.  He did say that Brian was in for it on deceiving the public on the
things he was reporting.

Haven't always listened to Rush so I can't personally recall the instance when Brian sat in for him.

Of the different ones who sit in for Rush, my fav is Mark Stein.  This guy tickles me with his accent, always very easily understood.

I did not say we should give up. I just stated the truth that libs will never quit lying.
Ah I see, sorry I mistook what you are saying for basically saying "eh libs will never quit lying so why bitch when they do it".

I am glad to see that you understand that simply because libs lie like rugs all over the place.

It does not mean we shouldn't point it out and call them, and the corrupt organizations they work for about it when they lie.

However that said, lying trying to make oneself appear to belong to the elite cadre of our men and women who serve in our military.

While being obviously, a violation of journalistic ethics.

Is also at the same time also being a violation of simple plain old right and wrong ethics.

Claiming service like he did, when he in fact didn't serve.

Is a lie we even prosecute criminally at the Federal Level.

But we won't ever see that happening while the Obama is sitting in the oval office.

While I agree libs lie like rugs, so it shouldn't shock anyone when we find out they did. What he did is also a violation of our law. And that also should cost him his job.

Frankly, I am of the opinion that every/anytime a liberal lies to the American people, it should cost them their job. So we who oppose their agenda as it exists today. Should bitch as loudly as we can, as often as we can about it when these libs lie.

Perhaps if every time a lib lied as Mr. Williams apparently did (again from published news sources) we insisted that the liberal who fibbed was fired.

We the people of the U.S. might not have some of the problems we see in MSM/government/education (pretty much any place a liberal is employed) today.

Because if the people demand that these libs in the MSM not lie to them, about what's going on with their government.

Things like telling the people crapola like "we have to pass it before you can know what's in it". Wouldn't happen/shouldn't happen.

We might not have seen for example: a proven many times over liar, like the Obama ever elected in the first place.
If not for libs like Williams sitting there lying through his teeth because he himself happens to agree with that political agenda/ideology.

There was a time in this nation when you didn't lie as a journalist. Because if you did, it was your job. You didn't lie as a journalist because it was wrong to do so, and you had higher code of personal ethics than to bald faced lie.

That's as it should be then, and as it should be now.

When that came out, the story was "oh it's a disgruntled former CNN employee, no story here"

There is no excuse for what Mr. Williams apparently admits he did. Or for what news organizations like NBC apparently are doing.

Engaging in actively trying to affect the outcome of our electoral process. If they want to do that fine. Let them do so while calling themselves a political action committee and obey the laws or our nation as it pertains to them.

Not present themselves as a news source, while at the same time behaving as a PAC as CNN and other organizations are alleged to be doing.

You're the second person I've heard (or read) claiming that Brian Williams guest hosted Rush Limbaugh's radio show. I can find absolutely no trace of any record that it ever happened, or that Rush ever said that it happened. Can anyone help me out here? Somebody got a transcript?

With the news full of Williams' downfall, and with Rush trashing the man along with everybody else, I would think that if Williams actually had guest hosted Rush's show -- even one time -- it would be front-page news at HuffPo, among others. But my research turns up nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Crickets.

I have been listening to Rush since 1988 and I have no remembrance of Williams ever subbing for him.
