Title: Starbucks shop boots police officers because customer ‘did not feel safe’
Post by: Solar on July 06, 2019, 09:02:01 AM
Wrong on so many levels.

Some police officers in Tempe, Ariz., say they were asked to leave a Starbucks coffee shop on the Fourth of July because a customer complained they "did not feel safe" with the cops present, according to reports.

Five officers were drinking coffee at the Starbucks location prior to their shift beginning when a barista asked them to move out of the complaining customer's line of sight or else leave, the Tempe Officers Association wrote in a series of Twitter messages.

Just very sad. The manager should have invited those customers to leave.

I think it should be perfectly legal for the cops to never respond to that location.

Agree! One of the cops should have walked over, introduced himself, offered to buy them a cup of coffee and listen to their complaints. Curing ignorance is better than simply walking away from it.
I know I say it a lot, but that is one of the premises behind this forum, to educate about the Conservative movement, ask questions, make them confront their own ignorance, force them to question their so called values.
I think these cops missed a perfect opportunity to bridge gaps, I believe their Police Chief would agree.

Another good form of education would be for the customer who dislikes police to spend some time in downtown Detroit, Chicago, Baltimore, ect....

So now when that Starbucks is robbed because of all the dregs that go in there for anything but buying coffee, don't expect those officers to put their lives on the line for them. What a disgusting story, this is exactly the reason why I refuse to put money in their pockets. They are so woke it will be the demise of their company, or so I hope.

Why did the customer's not just move out of the line of sight  if they "did not feel safe."  I'm sure the Five officers will not be back for coffee.  Or they could have a officer sit in and fill up the place and not buy coffee.

When did a coffee maker become a barista.

I call them Coffee Jockey's.

If you look up Barista in the dictionary? It's like calling a janitor a sanitation worker.

Barist: Noun...
"Person who makes and serves coffee in a coffee bar"

So does coffee costing over 3 $ a cup is made by a barista.

I lived next door to a Brewmaster, in Tumwater Wa.  He said he was just a chemist with a high paying job.

Bingo!!!
It's what one does with their education. A chem degree gets you a job in the field of science, or you work for yourself in private consulting. While a lib arts degree gets you a servant position, "Coffee Jockey, Burger flipper" Etc....
