Let's see if I were going to rob a place where would I go. (A gun free zone.)

"We are here to support businesses that do not wish to have guns on their premises" Mr. McGinn said in a statement. "The police department regularly enforces trespass laws when a visitor to a business violates that business's rules. We will continue to do so, and I thank these businesses for standing up for the safety of their customers."

Do they plan on searching every person that enters the establishment for guns?
I believe there will be a backlash towards business that posts any sign proclaiming a so called "GFZ", I know I wouldn't patronize an obvious idiot lib establishment that proudly states they don't believe in our Bill of Rights.
Oh, I can see it now; gun packing thugs will take one look at these "gun free zone" signs and say "dog, I bes(t) git outa here, these folk gonna get me rested (arrested) cuz I'm walkin heavy wid ma nina" (carrying a 9 mm).
I can just see a ton of business owners and employees calling the police on suspected gun packing thugs (it's not like these thugs, or their homies, would come back later to say "thanks" for snitching them out).
Gee what a wonderful idea! We'll stop crime and "stand up for public safety" by simply putting up "gun free zone" signs! How nobody thought of this sooner I'll never know!
Hey, I have an thought; we don't we apply the same idea in regard to drugs in our public schools? That's it! We'll stop drug dealing in our schools by simply putting up a bunch of "drug free zone" signs around them!

So, does the mayor post those signs around HIS bullet-proof limo and armed guards?
Or are the "Please rob me" signs only for business-owning enemies of the state?
Aren't liberals funny creatures? They think if they pass a law, any law, that criminals will always abide by them.
But it's these truly asinine laws that take the cake, ones directed only at the law abiding.
I wonder if I posted a sign that stated "No Emotional Idiots Allowed On Premises", just how many libs would take personal offense at it?

They think no such thing. What they DO think is that NON-criminals (you and me) will abide by them. Laws are always written to control the law-abiding. Lawbreakers do what they do regardless -- they break laws.

Hey Tbone, it's good to hear from you!
And yes, I agree that these liberals, and their friends the Rinos, are intensionally using these laws as means of controlling law abiding citizens. These Demrinos are intensionally allowing criminals to commit crimes that give the Demrinos a reason to enact laws that are broadly enforced against law abiding citizens.
Btw, the California "use a gun, go to prison" law of the late '70s was very effective in reducing armed crime until the libs started watering it down. I'll note that infamously Liberal and pro-criminal CA Chief Justice Rose Bird (may she rest in hell) voted against the constitutionality of the this law during her disgraceful term on the bench (this POS was appointed by Gov. Jerry Brown).

True in a sense, they are playing to their idiot base. Case in point, listening to the radio one day, the local talk was doing the local news and one of the stories was about deer being hit on a stretch of Hwy 49, and they bantered about much of the problem comes from local idiots feeding them and screwed up hunting regs. which are both true in this state.
Well some bleeding heart just had to call in, (these people really do exist) she, with all the passion in the world, said the county was to blame not the state, since the state is run by libs, but our county is run by conservatives, she claimed we didn't have enough deer crossing signs, that the county was interfering with the deer population over the wishes of the State by not erecting enough "Slow down, deer crossing ahead" signs.
OK, at first one would think, "yeah, warning drivers can help" but that's not what she was saying, she went on to argue that the deer actually look for these signs and use them, I kid you not, this bleeding heart bimbo BHB, really believed that over time deer migrate where cars drive slower, that deer make the correlation between the signs and people slowing down.
So yes, it's idiots like this that demand laws that only law abiding follow and the Dim leadership happily take up the mantle for furthering their entrenchment in power.

You have to be kidding. No, I'm sorry she is a lib and has no sense of reality. Anybody familiar with deer know are always darting out in front of cars.

Come mating season, (about right now), deer become libs, only thinking about themselves.
I've hit 3 deer on three different bikes, all around October during mating season, the doe literally become stupid, two jumped right on my bike, while a buck in a panic landed on my fender all within a 5 year period. I gave up bikes after the last one totaled my Harley and gave me severe brain damage (memory loos) for a full year.
Yep, they become liberals.
Too bad we can't erect signs warning of liberals....
The only part of these "gun free zone" signs that most criminals will be able to easily read is the word "free".
But hey, we all know that these signs aren't really meant for criminals. Nope, they're meant for law abiding citizens that have the nerve to legally carry a gun as a means of defending themselves against criminals (who will always be armed, "gun free zone" signs or not).
Maybe they suggest that they post signs that say, "Rob Free Zone." Maybe that would cut down on robberies.

I wonder how many places could prevent Obama from visiting if they applied the no-guns rule to the Secret Service...and enforced it.

I wonder the same about the Mayor and his security people...

That's East Detroit.
I know, let's erect "Obama Free" signs. We all know he can read.
How ridiculous to think that people out to kill someone will take any notice of their silly signs. Secondly, I don't think a business has the authority to declare any area a "Free" anything zone.
Criminals don't obey the law. That's why they are called "Criminals." Maybe a sign in a bsnk, "Robbery Free Zone?" Makes as much sense.

Would signs work, or would we be forced to buy TelePromPters
TM to stick up all over the nation?
