Another high water mark for academic excellence....not. MIT has produced a kiddie book extolling the virtues of a system which has never once worked well, anywhere it was ever tried.
Nevertheless, it's now selling big at Amazon.
QuoteAnyhow, the Amazon description reads thusly: "Once upon a time, people yearned to be free of the misery of capitalism."
You had me at "free" — lost me at "misery of capitalism."
But this book isn't your regular red-minded, communist-loving, theory-driven drivel. Perish the thought. It's a story book, filled with — again, hat tip Amazon — "jealous princesses, fancy swords, displaced peasants, mean bosses and tired workers — not to mention a Ouija board, a talking chair and a big pot called 'the state.' "
Why before the kids even know it, they're learning all about the "economic history of feudalism, class struggles in capitalism, different ideas of communism and more," the description reads.

I have yet to read of even one "different idea of communism" which actually worked. Betcha they don't mention THAT one on the cover!

Which decryption key do we use? Lenin's Best Toilet Jokes?
Can I assume the book didn't mention bread lines and the millions that have died under communist rule?

Probably not, although gobsmack-levels of hutzpah has never flagged among book retailers. They might actually address these "shortcomings," and warn against "improperly applied" methods. (First the candy, THEN the tanks.....)
