The 58-year-old passed away after a quiet months-long battle with stage four cancer, her attorney David Gerke revealed Tuesday
The nature of her cancer was not disclosed, but she had been in hospice care for the final month of her life
Letourneau was a teacher at Shorewood Elementary in 1996 when she was discovered to be having sexual relations with student Vili Fualaau, 12
The then 34-year-old mother-of-four was initially was sentenced to three months in jail as part of a plea agreement in 1997
Shortly after her release from jail, she was found in a car having sex with Fualaau and was ordered to serve seven years in prison child rape charges

person can only ask...was she, at the time, actually in love with the 12 year old or "sick". If one looks at history, many marriages in ancient time had significant amounts of marriages where there was a large age gap. But by today's standards it is considered unacceptable in the civilized world.

Thank You! Yes, there was obviously a disturbance in the brain, be it inflicted or physical birth defect, she had some serious mental issues to latch onto a child like that.
He was a very mature looking 13 year old.
Since I was once a 12 year old boy, I know I would not have turned her down, and none of my friends would have either. The big problem would be not telling every body. :thumbsup:
