ALEX Scott becomes emotional on Who Do You Think You Are? when she learns her great grandfather owned 26 slaves.
The BBC pundit, 37, is horrified to find her 4x great grandfather Robert Francis Coombs was a slave owner with over two dozen people captive at his huge property in Jamaica.
The Football Focus host is shown records of those enslaved to Robert between 1817 and 1832 in an upcoming episode of the BBC documentary show.
A stunned Alex cannot believe what she is seeing, and asks: "In my family line - this doesn't sound right coming out of my mouth - but Robert Francis Coombs owned people?"
The historian explains Coombs received preferential treatment for being light-skinned, and it wasn't unusual for free black people to own slaves at the time.
Fighting tears, Alex replies: "In terms of explaining my emotion behind it, I suppose that goes against everything that I stand for, who I am."
In a preview clip, she adds: "I was very aware we may be delving into the topic of slavery, but I really did believe I'd be learning about my family as slaves, not the other side, as the slave owners."
The ex-footballer also discovers Robert had a relationship with one of the slaves and fathered two children with one of the women he owned, Eleanor Frances Henry.

I am always amazed by black people who think they were the only ones who were slaves. Slavery has been around everywhere and in many different ways forever.

America is not racist. America didn't exist yet. If blacks or white lefties have a problem with slaves being brought over to the new world, then have a discussion with who enslaved them in the first place. How did African slaves end up to where those three ships left to the new world? Have a word with the Italians because last I checked, Columbus was Italian (using Spanish ships).
If white lefties have a problem with slavery, they they need to ask themselves why did they keep them around for so long?
If blacks have a problem with slavery, they need to ask themselves why do they keep voting for the ones who kept them as slaves?

Someone at work actually believes that half of America is racist because some American hating left-winger said or wrote something somewhere.
Sounds like that left-winger is racist. They are pushing skin color and not content of character. Wanna bet they said half voted for Trump, and therefore they are racist? Major case of T.D.S. effecting his brain, heart, and sole? And, the poor guy has been brainwashed to believe it.
