QuoteTV personality and fierce advocate for 9/11 first responders Jon Stewart is a special 'Fox News Sunday' Power Player of the Week. Stewart testified before Congress to advocate for extending the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund.
The more I think about this, I remember that Jon Stewart is a Liberal. He had plenty of chances to yell at our government during the Obama administration. Had the perfect opportunity to blame the Bush administration. Why now?

He's a moron, but I sense he believes in this, so I'm giving him a pass... It's not to spread fake news or grandstand for a political run.
I am talking about the timing, not the purpose. I believe those guys should get help. Never forget about those Liberal agendas.

If that's the case, then so be it. I'm all for supporting those who've given to the country.

That's exactly how I saw it, but the media acts as if nothing would have ever happened if not for the emotional liberal taking up the cause.
I will acknowledge that I am not well versed on this bill, which seems very well intended. However, from what I have heard many extended potential victims have been added and consequently the costs could become another out of control government program. Once again we witness unintended consequences coming out of Washington.

Yeah, from what I understood, is it was "supposed" to be for First Responders only. But that's never good enough for the left when they're spending OPM..

Just look at what the libs did to social security. My brother in law went to the social security office right before turning 65, standing room only, the majority were around 30 looking for disability. Whether it is needed or not, that is a different topic, but why is it coming out of ss? Just like the 911 bill, if the libs want other people besides first responders to get $, pass another bill. Even better, take it out of their pocket.

Good comparison. Everyone wants a free ticket. I'm sorry that so many were affected, but the ones that put their lives on the line to save people are the only ones that deserve anything. We do it for Vets, but we don't do it for people that sit at home and read about it.
In other words, these people should have gotten out of the area and let those charged with the job do their work. But to remain in the area was their own choice and they deserve nothing.
