The Dims are trying to reach critical mass on immigration and using the separation of the children from parents as a leverage point. There are many getting behind this - more than on most issues.
The optics are bad. Some are contrived, but the fact is that kids are being separated from the parents as it should be when you prosecute a parent for a crime. But the optics carry a lot of weight and I'm not sure anything else matters to the Libs / Dims - they're not listening to history / logic / rationale.
Doesn't it seem likely that the Dims will make this a key topic as we move toward November.
I realize that it's standard to separate parents from children when prosecuting adults. And that Trump is just enforcing the laws that exist. And that congress actually owns this problem and has done nothing to address it. The one solution seems great - no judges, the illegals have no rights in the US. Just turn them back right then and there.
Unfortunately, the Dims are pinning this on Trump with some success.
Did you have a specific incident you planned on linking to, or was this just a blanket statement the left convinced you was happening?
Thing is, regardless of what you perceive to be the optics, it's not working, the left has yet to make traction, in fact, their refusal to work with Trump on this has hurt them far more than the right.
The left owns this screw up, how you can't see it is beyond me.

It's very simple. Keep them together while you deport them. Don't need a court for that.
They all don't belong here. They are illegal. It's against federal law to trespass onto U.S. soil.
