A recent column by the fake conservative George Will provides an excellent teachable moment about one of the media's many techniques of deception.  This technique may be called, "controlled opposition."  Not only does the left flood the culture with their propaganda, they provide fake opposition leaders to sabotage the thinking of actual opponents.

The column by George Will can be seen at:   http://www.jewishworldreview.com/cols/will070215.php3
Dated July 2, 2015, it is titled,   "GOP candidates are becoming unhinged"

It can also be seen at:   http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/what-is-the-supreme-courts-duty/2015/07/01/c78a5a2e-1f51-11e5-aeb9-a411a84c9d55_story.html
Dated July 1, 2015, its full title is:   "Some GOP candidates becoming unhinged over gay marriage ruling"

Here is the final paragraph:

"It is, therefore, especially disheartening that Cruz, who clerked for Chief Justice William Rehnquist and who is better equipped by education and experience to think clearly about courts, proposes curing what he considers this court's political behavior by turning the court into a third political branch. Imagine campaigns conducted by justices. What would remain of the court's prestige and hence its power to stand athwart rampant executives and overbearing congressional majorities? Sixteen months before the election, some candidates are becoming too unhinged to be plausible as conservative presidents."

Here are the reasons that Mr. Will's conclusions are utterly absurd:

"TURN the court into a third political branch?"  It already has been hyperpolitical for several generations!

"IMAGINE campaigns conducted by justices?"  In Ohio, we don't have to imagine.  We already  HAVE exactly that!  It doesn't degrade the Ohio Supreme Court's prestige!  It MAINTAINS it!  The Supreme Court justice (Judith Resnick) who was arrested for drunk driving knew better than to even TRY to run for re-election!

"Stand athwart rampant executives and overbearing congressional majorities?"  The current Court RUBBER STAMPS exactly those things now!

"Some candidates are becoming too unhinged to be plausible as conservative presidents?"  The Washington Post, that band of leftist lunatics, and its fake conservative shill, George Will, is not just unhinged, but has been blown all the way to Oz for generations, and is hardly qualified to judge ANY plausibility on ANY subject!

The job for which the Washington Post keeps George Will employed is to tell conservative readers what the LEFT wants us to believe!  He is a SHILL!  He is NOT an honest journalist!

To maintain his credibility, he writes many columns that actually are conservative, but then he writes some like the above, to MISLEAD conservative readers into choosing FAKE conservative candidates!

It is a condition of his employment.  The Washington Post keeps him on staff to maintain the ILLUSION that they are balanced!  They are not!  They let him APPEAR conservative on an ongoing basis, but when an issue arises that really would make a difference, they have him write a hit piece like this.

George Will is not the only shill at The Post.  Charles Krauthammer has also been misrepresenting Don Trump.  So has Kathleen Parker.

Other papers do likewise.  The New York Times has David Brooks and Ross Douthat.  Many papers nationwide have on their op-ed page a "from the left" and a "from the right" feature.  The "from the right" space often contains FAKE conservatism from the authors I just mentioned.

A study of poker players once found that the most successful ones bluff five percent of the time.  Those who bluff less miss many opportunities for gain.  Those who bluff more lose their credibility, and therefore cannot bluff effectively.

The same principle applies to propaganda.  Journalists who lie rarely never advance their true cause.  Those who lie too frequently expose their true selves.  The most dangerous ones are the ones like the ones listed above.  They lie AND get away with it!

Here are the 10 RINOs who voted to impeach Trump on Jan. 13, 2021 - NEVER forget!
WY  Liz Cheney      SC 7  Tom Rice             WA 4  Dan Newhouse    IL 16  Adam Kinzinger    OH 16  Anthony Gonzalez
MI 6  Fred Upton    WA 3  Jaime Herrera Beutler    MI 3  Peter Meijer       NY 24  John Katko       CA 21  David Valadao

Will is, and always has been an Establishment Republic!

The Supreme Court of the United States IS a third branch of government. That is explicitly found in the Constitution. Guess Mr. Will was absent the day they taught that in the fifth grade.
One of every five Americans you meet has a mental illness of some sort. Many, many, of our veteran's suffer from mental illness like PTSD now also. Help if ya can. :) http://www.projectsemicolon.org/share-your-story.html
And no you won't find my "story" there. They don't allow science fiction. :)

He probably cut school to go to a ball game...

One must understand that Will and Krauthammer both see the world from inside the Beltway in DC. They follow the establishment thinking. The other so called conservative David Brooks is just a total sham as a conservative.

I agree with that.  I do like to listen to their perspectives because of their combined experience in politics, but don't always agree either.
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but the citizens capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.

Well-said. Brooks is Maureen Dowd in pants.

I can't think of any RINO milquetoast-journalists that I've ever really followed...  Bill Kristol, sorta.  Only as a guidepost to see what the moderates are thinking.  I like how Will and Krauthammer assemble phrases and pull anecdotes out of thin air.  But on the issues, I only agree with them about 75% of the time.

Agreed (although I don't agree with ME a whopping 75% of the time).

Yeah, they're all stylists. I forgive Will his baseball mania and wardrobe. Kristol? Maybe new teeth. Charlie's just fine. Maybe a new hair-style, but he'll get by.

Cryptic Bert

I like Will. He has some good insights. With that said I trust his views on conservative candidates as much as I trust the Luftwaffe at a Bar Mitzvah. The GOP has a history of nominating RINOS who always lose.

History is not on his side.
