Well. last nite some black guy who failed the field sobriety test, grabbed cops taser and ran and then turned with something in his hand....taser/gun...cop didn't have time to determine and black guy gets shot. dead.
The "PROTESTORS' burnt down Wendy's stopped traffic on I-95 and I-75 for awhile till cops got that under control. Seems there was a hot time in Hotlanta last nite. They were trying to recreate the original burning of Atlanta apparently. Lots of running around, fireworks, I don't remember if there was looting but doesn't that generally go with the whole deal. The Wendy's was RESET on fire about 4AM. So now we have to watch this bs on news for the next two weeks.
Apparently the new rule is gonna be...no shooting black criminals regardless what they do cause there will be hell to pay. Sorta giving carte blanche to black lawlessness. Oh well...what's different.

It was the I-85/I-75 connector and very busy.
I grew up about five miles from the University Ave. area and it has never been Mayberry in my lifetime. Therefore, I am sure police are well aware of the potential of anything coming from there. The good news is 36 people have been arrested from the protests. We will see how this will evolve.
Fox said last nite..I-95. :glare: We all know the media is always accurate.
This will get a smile out of you though. Apparently the mob went after CNN reporters.

nah.....MORE camera
Here is the truth and nothing but the truth......
Please keep in mind for the people that are not familiar with the Atlanta area when watching this video.
University Ave in Atlanta where this took place is far from Old Dixie Highway or National Highway in Jonesboro, Ga in Clayton County, Ga. it's about 10 miles apart.
Here is the whole police cam that shows the truth and how this man tried to lie his way out of getting arrested for drunk driving. He actually fell asleep in that Wendy's drive through window which prompt the 911 call.

you know...that's a shame cause the guy looked like a fun loving guy.....liar...LOL but a fun loving guy. So why did he have to go and ack de foo? He'd be alive if he'd had some sense.
Excellent. Let's start using video for good. Release the footage. Show what kind of animals police have to interact with.

No. If you consider it a deadly weapon then that would mean the officers were trying to murder the guy before he ran off

Riddle me this batman....So why did Atlanta DA charge two Atlanta police officers with deadly force while using a taser putting these two college students lives in danger. Then turn around and charge this Atlanta police officer with murder when the drunk actually did the same thing these two officers did to the students. Taser with deadly force.
A good lawyer will make these police officers rich.

The million dollar question has been answered......Why did such a nice gentleman run and steal this Atlanta police officers taser....let him explain it in his own words and I quote.....
"I'm on probation, and any violation will send me back to jail"
"The moment I get out of hand, back to jail I go"
Now was he afraid of going back to jail or his wife and kids finding out he was meeting his "girlfriend" at a nearby hotel...........?

Moving the goalpost Joe One Can.
You still didn't address the tale of two tasers. I knew you wouldn't and now you're trying to deficit.
The problem with you commies today is you live in the 280 characters world. Once to escape them chains you see the truth of the matter.
From your beloved CNN, unless you believe CNN is "fake News"...............
The officer who tased the male driver said, ""The driver started grabbing his right pocket area, causing me to us (sic) my ECW (Electronic Conductive Weapon) on him."
The officer who tased the female passenger said he gave verbal commands to the female to, "show her hands and stop resisting." He also wrote he "heard officers say 'gun' two-three times," according to the report.

You brought that other taser story up as proof of the device being considered a deadly weapon. It does not prove that.

Ask the DA. Point is, the Taser isn't considered a deadly weapon. Which is what we're discussing here. If you want to discuss the college kids case that's got it's own merits and it's own thread.
Real nice guy..............

We apprehend first-degree murderers, child molesters, domestic abusers, even terrorists and give them their day in court.
This man shouldn't have been shot in the back and killed by police.

He would not have been had he not been DUI and resisting arrest. We noe know he would have been in violation of his parole and his ass was going back to prison.

Agreed. Still doesn't justify the police shooting him in the back.

So you're saying if he was retreating as he was but just happened to be shot in the chest? No, I wouldn't be OK with it. He's retreating, I don't see a need for Deadly force.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/rayshard-brooks-killing-murder-charge-atlanta-officer-garrett-rolfe/
Garrett Rolfe, who was fired after the killing of 27-year-old Rayshard Brooks, faces 11 criminal charges, including felony murder.
If convicted of the murder charge, Rolfe could face the death penalty or life in prison without parole.
The second officer at the scene, Devin Brosnan, faces three charges, including aggravated assault for standing or stepping on Brooks' shoulder after he was shot, Howard said.
I haven't seen a list of the charges but I doubt it will all stick. 11 is a lot
