Why not both?
Because the refugees didn't come here legally.
The last POTUS broke the law allowing more people from certain countries into the US, we have actual caps and laws designating who and how many are allowed to enter the country.
The US has taken in the most refugees of any nation in the world, and our Congress refused to enforce the law, which leaves it up to the people of this country, so screw Satrbucks for leaving men and women behind that actually served this nation.

I would never enter a Starbucks for any reason whatsoever. I might plaster those posters all over their windows sometime though...... :ttoung:

How about we send 50.000+ refugees over to Ireland.  I see Northern Ireland was not happy with the refugees.

Vets served our country and our society should hold them to a higher standard as often as we can.

Refugees stink up our country, import their crime, and leech off us producers.

Yeah you see I don't need to, I'm just old enough to remember the last of the IRA car bombs, the kneecappings, and the UVF retaliatory executions, I have something of an idea of what terrorism is like. My parents have a far more intimate idea of what terrorism is like, I'm thinking you don't. Not all fanatics are from the middle east. I ask a simple, respectful question and I expect to get a simple, respectful response, don't insult me.

I'm very, very sorry about that.  Is there anything we can do to make your stay more comfortable?

Fair enough, I will endeavour to be blunt and I shall endeavour to avoid being PC. Apart from the ignorance of Billy's assumptions it is in direct opposition to the principles of free market to favour any single group. Starbucks is free to make any decision they feel is important and veterans have no right to demand any sort of special treatment from employers. I go after veterans and not refugees because refugees made no demands while veterans are doing just that. On the other hand, if Starbucks were to create 20,000 new jobs it would be good for economic development overall, that veteran and refugees benefit is a bonus to those two groups.

If I choose to damn the feelings of American veterans, don't complain. They get no extra respect from me, respect is earned.

I believe you have misundertsood what is being said. The CEO of Starbucks says he would hire 10,000 refugees. Someone, not necessarily veterans, suggested he hire 10,000 veterans. This is not an organized effort by veterans, but a way to show the idiocy of the PC CEO.

You have no idea about Billy's experience.  He has more global experience, especially in LEO and security, than you and I will ever have.  You should apologize to him for assuming you have a greater understanding than he.

You are contradicting yourself.  This country doesn't want to deal with the third world.  We would much rather see a company employ and give preference to veterans.  People like myself who treat Starbucks as a last resort when we have a caffeine fit would patron it far more if they put veterans over unscreened and unvetted third worlders.

Correct.

Correct.

How are refugees eating, and where are they getting their clothes and shelter?

No.  Veterans have priority and are upheld with high regard in this country.  Refugees can go to Canada, who welcomes them with open arms.  Veterans opted to defend and serve our country.  No refugee could ever come close to matching that respect.

But I disagree, you see this is free publicity. The CEO makes a controversial comment that puts his company in the news and all over the Internet. There is backlash but the left will rally to support Starbucks and he can quickly change gears by pledging to instead hire veterans if he needs to. Worst case scenario a boycott won't go beyond the shores of the U.S. as Starbucks is multinational, thus Starbucks might be hurt but not badly.
